This is a great steak house. We live down the road and stop in at least 2 times a month. Having a child under 3 going out is a bit of a chore but they are very kid friendly and always provide great service. The food is always made in house, even the kids meals, which is hard to find.... More

My father was visiting me from the West Coast and we spent a great day at the FDR Library, he had been hinting at wanting a steak for a few days, and being new to the Hudson Valley I had only web reviews to guide us. I found Joseph's on Trip Advisor and that's where we went. We were the... More

My wife and I went to Joseph's the other night for dinner and it was a great experience. Everything was on point from the staff, to the decor, and the food. I had the 16Oz cowboy ribeye which was a special and my wife had the 8Oz Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon. For sides (which were included along with a... More

We rolled into Joseph's Steakhouse parking lot not expecting anything much, but were delighted to be greeted by Micheal who ushered us into a lovely venue complete with newly hung Christmas decorations. After touring FDR's Hyde Park home we were looking through tourist brochures for a place to have a late lunch when we passed Joseph's Steakhouse. Most places were... More

Went to Joseph's after seeing it listed as #1 in Hyde Park. We had a CIA student as a waiter and he was excellent. Less so were the entree prices which ranged from a low of $24 for chicken to over $40 for surf and turf. The food was OK but mundane and unimaginative, reminiscent of a 1970's steakhouse. We... Yes I agree that we are a old school Steakhouse. Serving a great steak or prime rib and nothing gourmet about that, just good aged beef. But we do have a difference of opinion on prices. We battle keeping our prices down and still maintain the high quality of Steaks that we serve. Our food cost is over 8% of... More

We had a delicious meal at Joseph's Steakhouse. We are visiting from New York City, like many here do. The service was above and beyond. Our server, Michael, was especially friendly, and provided helpful advice to us to make our stay in Hyde Park great. In fact, when we lamented that we didn't have a car and were relying on... More

Friends/Food/Wine - What's not to love. As a friend was coming from Boston, six of wanted to find a place where we could eat, drink, and spend some time together. We did! We met a Joseph's Steakhouse for lunch. The eggplant stacks were delicious, as was the wine, the company, and the visit from Joseph. What a lovely 5 Star... More

On the spur of the moment on a Friday night we called Joseph's for reservations. They had a table for us a bit later than we requested and after eating there I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We opted to order a bottle of wine from their wine list. My husband is the wine expert. He had no difficulty choosing... More

Your first impression may be that this is an understated space, a little off the main track......but then you'll meet Joe Wilson, a very upbeat and friendly owner, who does his utmost to make sure his customers are happy with their dining experience, and the place warms up. He'll tell you that he has the best steaks around. He's right.... More

Prime rib was awesome, garlic mashed potatoes were o.k. but almost cold, green beans undercooked. Butternut squash soup was tastie but lukewarm. Apple crisp was good and warm, but ice cream on it was almost all the way melted when served. Had to ask for more bread. Service was average. Very nice waiter. He was very busy, though. This may...
