Steak's are ordinary, supermarket quality at best. Prices are more fitting for Manhattan than the Hudson Valley.

The ribeye steak was prepared perfectly and the twice baked potato was delicious. Very good wine list also. But the best part was the service - Friendly, definitely focused on assuring my meal was prepared to my liking and gave wonderful hints on things to see and do in the area. Overall, great experience!

We visited Joseph's Steakhouse based on the Hyde Park reviews. The "joint" has a really nice vibe with nice pictures of people like Dean Martin. You feel like are transformed to another era... However, the food disappointed. Not sure if other (future) diners need to come during more peak times... We came for lunch and the restaurant was not very... More

A friend took me here as a goodbye dinner before moving to Hawaii. Michael our server was excellent! We loved his vibe and his knowledge of the menu and wine list. His recommendations were bang on!! The owner Joseph greeted us with a warm jovial smile. We were so very pleased with our meal and all the selections. Highly recommend... More

Truly enjoyed my steak. Our waiter was very knowledge about made a great wine suggestion. The side was refreshing and the home de ice cream was delightful. My only disappointment was the twice baked potatoes. They tasted like they had been baked three or four times, frozen food quality.

Glad you enjoy your steak and thank you for the review. Sorry about the twice baked but we do make them fresh and they are never frozen. Chef might of over baked it the second time. They are usually a big favor at the restaurant. It will be on list to try tonight and if not to our standards new... More

We live in LaGrange, and I wanted to surprise my wife with a nice night out. I found this restaurant on trip advisor and decided to give it a shot. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere was pleasant. The staff and servers were knowledgeable, welcoming, and funny. The steaks were awesome! I had the filet mignon and my wife the... More

It was our 23rd Wedding Anniversary and we wanted to treat ourselves to Steak! My husband did his homework!! As our title indicates, it was phenomenal!! The shrimp cerviche was impeccable, as was the fried calamari for our appetizers. Both fresh and tender. The wine was recommended by Michael our waiter extraordinaire (made the shrimp cerviche himself!). The "Cowboy" 34... More

We were visiting the Hyde Park area for a few days of relaxation and a visit to the FDR library and home. We read online that Joseph's was one of the better regional choices for dinner. The restaurant's ambiance is a just bit understated (eg. quite plain) in decor, but clean and welcoming. The overhead music is vintage Sinatra/American Standards... More

I checked TripAdvisor in the weeks prior to our quick jaunt to Hyde Park. So much food, so little time. Glad we chose Joseph's! Cold and miserable as it was that April 7th evening,Joseph's was quick to up the endorphine level. Nothing disappoints here... just don't expect fancy. Delicious, I promise.
