Great place to stop before or after FDR's!

Went to this place on a whim. We first stopped at the CIA down the road but didn't want to wait 45 minutes. They have an extensive menu, even a section for vegetarians that is not salad based. I had the 96 burger, which had just the right amount of heat/spice. The beer was good and fresh. They... read more

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Dutchess county has way too many Italian and Chinese food establishments. This place serves great German food. We went there on Sunday night with some friends. I decided to go vegetarian for a change. I had the vegetable schnitzel. OUTSTANDING. 3 nice pieces of vegetable patties, breaded and... More

Strange exterior, may not have stopped here if I had not already read reviews online. Great beer and food, perfect location-- we walked from our hotel.

We had spent the day at the FDR museum and someone told us about the Hyde Park Brewing Company. They gave us directions because it is just down the road from the museum heading south, but we still passed it twice .The building looks more like an office building and I never saw the sign the first 2 times. The sign... More

Just across the road from the FDR museum etc (see separate review) this micro brewery and restaurant offers good quality beer and food at a good price. I had the Kielbasa- a local Ukranian sausage which was excellent. I also, had the blonde beer tweed there and it was lovely. A great way to round of a trip to a great... More

From the first impression until the last dessert............I loved it. The server was excellent. Treated us with respect and efficiency. The food was delicious. The homemade desserts were unexpected. I will definitely return

This is a clean, casual, middle-of-the-road place that you can dress up or down a tad and still fit in. A selection of unique beers, with a menu to match. I appreciated that there was a whole section of vegetarian entrees. I ordered the vegetarian schnitzel served with mashed potatoes and cabbage. The cabbage was okay (maybe an acquired taste),... Visited on a Tuesday evening and caught a $14 pizza and pitcher special. Had a pitcher of Big Easy Blonde. Beer was very good. Buddy had a pint of their darkest beer after the pitcher and he really liked it. Bar staff was very friendly and helpful.

The exterior of the building is not terribly inviting, however the interior is quite well appointed and speaks well of the designer. My darling wife had a turkey club with sweet potato fries. The sandwich had no real pizazz but the fries were quite tasty. I had a beef on week and would not recommend it. This was not a kimmelweck... More

Really good house-brewed stout on tap. The Pizza that shall not be Named was a fantastic combo of flavors on a very nice thin crust. Caramelized onions, blue cheese, walnuts, fig chutney. Front room has bar and live music. We were seated in a rear room, quieter, which was appreciated.
