Food is great here. Service is good too. It's good for lunch or dinner. There is a place in the back for large parties.

There's around 15 tables and a small bar. The room is dim but nice. The wait staff was extremely attentive, even bringing us a fresh glass with each refill. My husband had the chopped sirloin, baked potato, hot rolls and a nice side salad. I had 2 cheese enchiladas, beans, rice, chips and salsa for around $20 before tip. We... More

Local spot for good food. We were there on a Thursday night and the place was packed. You can tell this is a good local spot where everyone knows everyone. We were just passing through and found this place on trip advisor. The service was good and the food tasted excellent. Very flavorful and reasonably priced.

The single window (la ventana) gives the impression this might be a dive bar. But go inside and you'll find a funky, dark but welcoming place that's obviously where the locals go for a nicer meal. Ribs, New Mexican, steaks, and seafood--both our selections were delicious and the platters traveling to other tables looked good, too.

It's 6:00 pm in Grants, New Mexico. Where, you say? Grants, you know the little stop between Gallup and Albuquerque where you stay because all the other places in New Mexico are booked up for the balloon festival. In a starving state of mind, I go off in search of La Ventana, the restaurant in Grants with some awesome reviews.... More

Following up on other Trip Advisor reviews we had a super steak, tossed salad, and loaded baked potato dinner here 9/22. The place was already filling up at 5 pm. Our table had a rib eye, NY strip, and a sirloin. All were perfectly cooked to order; very flavorful aged beef. Oven roasted baked potatoes, home baked rolls, very fresh... More

We weren't sure when we pulled up, but the parking lot was full and we gave it a chance. I am glad we stopped the food was very good and we had a great meal.

If you are in Grants (for Chaco Canyon, Acoma Pueblo or something else?), eat at La Ventana. They pour a good drink, have great service, good steaks and New Mexican food. All you need to know is that on an ordinary Wednesday night, you should make a reservation. All the locals do. The wine list is only 20 wines, but... More

Great food and service in this small town location. It even had some gluten free options. Steak was great and cooked perfect!

We ate dinner at La Ventana. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is delicious. I had the shredded beef burro with green chile sauce and my husband had chicken breast smothered with a green chile sauce. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Thank Judy H
