We had steaks and enchiladas. All the food was delicious especially the salsa and dinner rolls. Service excellent - good value for the money.

My wife ordered their rib eye steak - which was good. I meant to order the same but somehow communicated prime rib - unintentionally. My wife reminded me that's what I asked for. However, it wasn't a very good flavor and didn't taste just right. I obviously ate enough to make me a little ill the next day. I won't... More

We stayed in Grants, NM on our way to Nellis AFB in Las Vegas. We searched for restaurants and found this gem. The food and service were fabulous. My husband and son had the steak and enchiladas and they said it was delicious. I had the chicken tacos and there were awesome! Would definitely visit this restaurant again if we... More

If you are not a local good luck with the service. The menu is deceiving, 21 day aged beef--don't think so. I asked if the plates with butter on them were for pretty, I was told no, they are for bread. What bread? Was the first time I have been to a "steakhouse" that does not ask you to cut... More

So many of the possibilities in Grants are Mexican/Chinese/franchise joints along the two main drags. La Ventana sits back a block so it's not easily noticed and its lot was full of cars with New Mexico plates, supporting its reputation as a favorite of the locals. We tried it. We were quickly seated and served. The atmosphere was homey, the... More

Food was good, steakhouse vs Mexican. Service was horrible. My house margarita was as much as my meal. Drinks for our table of 3 were delivered from the bar 1 at a time. We asked for water but never received it. The green chili was homemade, yet the beef inside the tortilla seemed pre-cooked & sliced. Overall, would come back... More

This is a restaurant not to be missed in Grants, New Mexico. It is just off I-40 and wonderful. It's quiet, well decorated and so very nicely attended. Raquel was our waitress. What a doll. Very attentive too. We had nice crisp salads, dinner steak, and country fried steak. Both very good. Only disappointment was the instant mashed potatoes. You'll... More

We took a tip from other reviewers and drove to this restaurant for dinner. What a surprise to see how nice it was inside from a drab and boxy exterior. The food was pretty good, the service was great, and the wine list was good. We will visit this one again.

This restaurant has a great family atmosphere and enjoyable food. I had the steak with enchilada which was very good and excellent value for money. All in all a good meal for a fraction of what it would have cost in the UK for the same meal. I was grateful for Trip Advisor reviews as I would not have stumbled... More

Staff were great. Food was just OK. Perhaps stick to meat, steaks looked excellent. I had salmon which is perhaps foolish because Grants is not on the coast. Thankfully the fish is forgiving because it was over-cooked. I do accept however that European style is to cook salmon lightly and leave it uncooked in the centre.
