When I first came upon this place, at first glance, I thought it wasn't going to be that good, it was not full at all, and it was a tiny place, and it was a little bit off of the busy area of town, but after going in, I realized the staff was super friendly, and quick, but my fiancee... read more

We inquired at our hotel about out of hotel breakfast options. This was one of two that the hotel gave us. Since we had walked by the night before and thought it looked nice, we ventured their way for dinner. We were not disappointed. Their choices, while nothing wild, were excellent. I had a great egg sandwich which was a... More

Super place for burgers and hot wieners. Great breakfasts with personable and pleasant staff. Eaten there at least a dozen times.

Being from Texas, we had to check this place out. Famous for their hot dogs, the diner was small and the employees were friendly. I didn't realize there was a Texas style hot dog. Regardless, they were good. Nothing super amazing, just a simple chili dog for pretty cheap.

If you visit Gettysburg, you must eat at Ernies! This restaurant has been here since before 1951 and still looks unchanged. The counter service is wonderful, or they have booths as well. Although Ernies is known for its hot dogs, their breakfast specials are unbeatable, some even include coffee. Why pay high prices for a meal when this Mom and... More

Went for lunch. Biggest regret was no one in our party ordered the Texas dog! Had lunch envy when I saw them coming out of the kitchen. Burgers were hand-pattied and tasty. Lunch was served quick and prices reasonable.

We went to Gettysburg and did want to be suckered in to the local tourist places paying for over priced food.. I read the reviews for this place and decided it would be perfect for lunch. It doesn't look fancy like all the normal tourist trap so I guess that's why people just walk pass!! but it is a awesome... More

We were looking for a nice place to go for breaststroke before viviting the battlefield park on our 4 day fact finding visit to Gettysburg. Actually being from West Texas myself and my spouse being UT grad we decided to go in and see what Ernie's is about. We were really suprised, being a local eatery it is opened for... More

First of all, I hate Starbucks coffee, it just tastes burnt to me. So hubby & I were tootling around Gettysburg & noticed that this little restaurant opens at 6am. Perfect for breakfast & before the parking meters (that are ALL over Gettysburg) open at 8am & leaves plenty of time to do the Battlefield & town. So we check... More
