Great little diner

Great place for breakfast (I was there at 6:00, very few people). Great service from Karen and Tressy, just don't get Karen mad at you (LOL). Good food, friendly atmosphere fast service. Will return.

You're not going to find a cheap diner with more local authenticity than this place. The food is basic & "nothing to write home about" but the service is fast & friendly. The atmosphere hasn't changed in decades, which gives it a very genuinely vintage feel, and it's a great haven in Gettysburg if you're looking for something basic and... More

Being from the great state of Texas, the name of this diner caught my eye. I had just finished the Marine Corps Marathon in DC a few days ago & my friend & I were sightseeing in the area. Our waitress was an older lady (I say this with respect!) who quite possibly is one of the nicest people I... More

Ate here for lunch, I had a Texas Dog w fries and an iced tea for $6 including taxes. My dog was a fat PA style hot dog which came with mustard, a scoop of mild chili and finely chopped onions. Dog was tasty, fries so so and the Iced tea OK. This place has been open in various spots... More

Really wanted to like this vintage place but food was very lack luster including fish that my son was certain were from the frozen food section and microwaved...the owner can do much better given the old school ambience and history he projects...

Stopped for lunch. Husband and I split an order of onion rings. He had chili and I had clam chowder. Great service and good food

If you are looking for fast food in a diner setting this is the place to go! The Texas hot dogs are well known in the area, and supposedly the recipe has not changed over the years. It is a well known family business that has been around since 1921. On the back of the menu there is a history... More

We just wanted a bite, so we stopped here. Have passed by many times, but it was never what we were looking for. Loved the nostalgic feeling. Waitress was friendly and great service. I had the hot dog and onion rings. My vegetarian husband had the grilled cheese and fries. All were very good.

Since the early thirties, very little about "Ernie´s" Gettysburg Dining has changed. From the grill in the front window to the "family" table in back, the layout of the dining area remains as is was over 60 years ago. It is a very basic look and feel, but the food and service are good. It is a definite must-visit.

Good breakfasts, friendly staff, very clean... I tried it and it's my breakfast choice when I'm in Gettysburg. Try the home fries.... Sliced very thin and tasty.
