"Confusing"

So we went to dinner one night. We were greeted outside, the hostess said if we sat outside we could order off either a pub or dinner menu. We chose to go inside. Then we went up to the bar area because that's where the hostess told us to go. We were on a wait list, after some confusion we... read more

This is not only a great restaurant; it is a piece of our National History. Confederate snipers used the upper floor of the building to shoot at Union troops.

What a fantastic meal. All the staff were very friendly from the time I made the reservation to the minute we stepped out of the door. The food was just so very good and cooked perfectly. Our portions where a very good size. Everything arrived at the perfect temperatures. Ice cold salad and hot hot soup. Our main entree was... More

We were very excited about this, as it sounded great on-line. We made reservations for 25, and when we arrived, they were very flustered and were definitely not prepared for our group. All of the staff except for one nice young lady seemed miserable. I felt bad for them, being dressed up in period costume but obviously not enjoying it.... More

Stopped in for dinner with family but we were disappointed with our food. The server did all she could to make it right but it was to many things that went wrong. Some food that we ordered came out still cold some food we ordered was not what we ordered, one entree was lacking in having chicken in it (... More

Recently are here for my birthday meal on a road trip with my son. We both had the steak and it was fantastic. We sat outside and have a wonderful meal with great service! Highly recommended.

What a neat place! Inside and outside dining. Outside there is a small waterfall and deep stream that meanders through the courtyard. Also a fish pond in one corner. Charming, historic, good food, nice friendly staff, this place really has it all...and the prices are reasonable. (Much more enjoyable than the Dobbin House!) The Farnsworth House is also a lovely... We have went to the Farnsworth House Tavern and had lunch, the food was cold and the waitress did not keep up with drinks. she rather stand around and talk with her co-workers. Wasn't busy at all there was another Lady and an older guy there that was it. Probably won't be returning.
