All the staff are dressed to the civil war era & the food also reflects the era. The food is very Americana, the only gripe I had is the wait for our food was somewhat long but the atmosphere made up for it

looks and smells amazing, don't foget to do the tour, shot fired here killed only civilian to die during battle. Cozy, outdoor area too, period food and regular menu items all top notch.

My husband and I had dinner at Farnsworth House in October 2011 for our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere is quaint, the food and service were good. The dessert we shared was excellent! Truly awful. Our meals - the main dishes and all side dishes - were stone cold. The service was indifferent. Perhaps the staff are demoralized by having to serve less-than-mediocre fare to unsuspecting visitors.
