Haunted??????

My wife and I went on a ghost tour a few years ago. Ever since she wanted to spend the night, so we finally did. At the ghost tour something's happens but all reasonable explainable. When we spend the night nothing happens, an uneventful unscary night. The breakfast was good. Another couple had a... read more

We have enjoyed the period atmosphere and the food at Farnworth House in past years, but the last two times we ate there, including today, we found the food quality had slipped tremendously. Their signature Game Pie has become a thin, watery disaster with very little meat or other fillings. My wife's salmon was greatly overcooked. The civil war era... More

We ordered an ole time typical food dish. Definitely pleasing to the palate and purse! Beer on the side. Warmed by a gas Fireplace nearby and entertained with conversation from others!

Nice restaurant with great food and a very nice atmosphere. The building was in the battle of Gettysburg and the outside have lots of bullet hole from the battle. Very Historic and great stores.

The menu features a local winery's vintages except--they used to carry them but ran out and never got more. The winery has a store across the street--literally across the street. The furnishings are looking shabby and the courtyard outside is looking run down. The place has enormous potential, but it needs re-energized. The one truly bright spot of the experience... More

I ate at Sweney's Tavern. Had goober soup and crab cake sandwich. Tell you plain - crab was ok but more filler than Dobbin House or Garryowen Pub. It was good but I was on a crab cake comparison run and vote for Dobbin or Gerryowen. Pub was great. Staff friendly and accommodsting - its a must see for all... More

The staff at Farnsworth are a joy to interact with! They were very knowledgeable of the area and history, and they met our every need. We had dinner there, and it was so good!! We will be back for sure.

I visited Farnsworth House as part of a celebration in early January to enjoy the arrival of the new year. I enjoyed the atmosphere very much. The items of interest decorating the place included history as well as movie items. My bartender was pleasant and helpful and had great information including stories about the Gettysburg movie actors that visited Farnsworth.... More
