The food and service were excellent and reasonably priced. The menu is a little lean. The atmosphere is period and reflexs the history

See the bullet holes in the side of the Farnsworth House. It's open for dinner in the evening. Well preserved Civil War home serves fine meals in their beautiful dining room. We had lunch in the Garden. This is a must visit site while touring Gettysburg.

We ate outside in the patio area which was very nice and our waitress was very good. Very historical feel. We really enjoyed the food - my husband had the pork and I had the chicken pot pie. You do NOT go away hungry - with our meal we also were given pickled watermelon rinds (try them - I was... More

Farnsworth house, well worth it. I had dinner at the Farnsworth House with my parents and sister. Mom and I had the game pie, Dad had the chicken pot pie, and my sister had the crab cakes. First of all I will say we were a little overwhelmed with the idea of having spoon bread, watermelon pickles, Jennie Wade bread,... More

Eat, drink and be merry! The servers are a hoot here! Very enjoyable meal! Recommend a reservation as the dining room is smaller.

My husband and I had dinner here on our first night in Gettysburg and the food was wonderful. He had the roasted chicken and I had the chicken pot pie. The waitress was very nice and loved to give us some history of the house and the area. I would love to have some more of their Jennie Wade Bread... More

Whenever we go to Gettysburg, PA we make sure to visit the Farnsworth House restaurant. The food and atmosphere inside is always fun and great. This time around we had the pleasure of meeting waitress Victoria Virginia and she was so kind, attentive, and made the experience even more pleasurable. Looking forward to returning soon to PA and visiting this... More

Tried to go here on a recommendation from my parents who have been to Gettysburg many times, but have not been in the past few years. We first waited at the hostess stand for over 10 minutes while the hostess ran back and forth doing various things. She did greet us and apologize but the things she was doing did... More

We ate dinner on the patio in front of the fountain. The weather was great, the food was not that great. They brought out some kind of appetizer - a pickled fruit and some kind of spoon bread, I think. Maybe somebody likes them, but neither was to my taste. I asked the waitress what the PA Dutch Beer was... More

Don't know about the upstairs dining room, but downstairs is great. Good food and good service and really nice atmosphere. Its also a great place for photo opportunities. Loved the period costumes and all the memorabilia (sp?).
