We are regulars here. As in when we stay over once a year or so this is where we go. It is definitely a local hang out and I can see why they open "late"! On Sunday's they open at 8 and when you are from the Diner State (NJ) that is late. They barely had anyone, but from years... More

Since moving to Gettysburg just shy of 2 years ago, Dunlap's has become a favorite. Their breakfast has been typically great and very well priced for the large portions. That until a week ago. We stopped for Sunday morning breakfast just after 8 a.m. The place was empty and the servers (2) were obviously new. The kitchen help (1) appeared... More

If you want to eat and eat hardy here is a place that works extremely hard to fulfill that hunger! Seriously, you cannot avoid the place for a great breakfast. They are fast, clean and very comfortable with sword carrying Rebels and Yanks too. Go dressed in period and the kids who are there for the 1st time love to... More

If you are in a hurry this is a nice little spot, not touristy. Had nice small sandwiches, the pies were a bit stale on our visit so check the display when you go in. The service was very nice and the place was clean. Parking on side and close to the square but not in walking of the shops.

When you go to a diner you expect average quality food at a good price here you get neither. The soup and salad bar was average with 2 soups (poor clam chowder), and the usual salad fixins - limited. My wife had the seafood platter, which came with no tartar, or cocktail sauce and no lemon. Seafood was obviously frozen... More

We walked out of the adjacent hotel, and smelled something good. We were on our way to the Lincoln Diner, and it is my mistake that we stopped here instead. While our waitress was quite lovely, the food was not so good. We opted for the breakfast buffet at $7.50 per person. I have never seen scrambled eggs quite like... More

I grew up in Gettysburg and used to love Dunlap's. Tonight, we ate there and ordered two Delmonico steaks, topped with crab cakes and opted for the soup and salad bar, rather than choosing two sides. The steaks were both almost well done (we ordered 1 medium well and 1 medium rare); there was no difference between the two steaks.... More

Stopped at Dunlap's on Saturday night 10/25/14 for dinner. We have only eaten breakfast there. Cannot believe the selection for dinner. My husband got prime rib for only $12.25 and I got a seafood combo for only $9.75. They were both very good. We will be visiting Gettysburg over the holidays and plan on stopping by for dinner again. We... More
