We walked out of the adjacent hotel, and smelled something good. We were on our way to the Lincoln Diner, and it is my mistake that we stopped here instead. While our waitress was quite lovely, the food was not so good. We opted for the breakfast buffet at $7.50 per person. I have never seen scrambled eggs quite like... More

I grew up in Gettysburg and used to love Dunlap's. Tonight, we ate there and ordered two Delmonico steaks, topped with crab cakes and opted for the soup and salad bar, rather than choosing two sides. The steaks were both almost well done (we ordered 1 medium well and 1 medium rare); there was no difference between the two steaks.... More

Stopped at Dunlap's on Saturday night 10/25/14 for dinner. We have only eaten breakfast there. Cannot believe the selection for dinner. My husband got prime rib for only $12.25 and I got a seafood combo for only $9.75. They were both very good. We will be visiting Gettysburg over the holidays and plan on stopping by for dinner again. We... More

Bad service. Crappy food. The prime rib was gray and tough. The hamburger steak was two McDonald's sized patties mashed together. The fried shrimp was the frozen grocery store kind.

Our hotel concierge recommended Dunlap's for breakfast (as it was nearby), and it was just o.k. The $5 breakfast special is a buy: two eggs, toast, sausage or bacon (I think they also offer a couple of other choices, including Scrapple), "home fries," and limitless coffee. I put "home fries" in quotes because they aren't home fries by any definition... More

I visit this area about once a year and always stop here once or twice. A classic diner with consistently good food and service. Recommend by the locals and I agree.

Waitress was inattentive at best. Asked if I wanted more coffee. I said yrs. She walked away and didn't come back until it was time for the check. Wife's sandwich was good. My crab cake must have been made by either Goodyear or firestone. Almost inedible.

On a recent vacation, my wife and I had just arrived in Gettysburg, checked in to our B&B, and decide to go to dinner. The in-town location was packed, so we went to a nice looking place just outside of the circle. Upon entering, we found it odd that all eateries wre packed, but Dunlaps was nearly empty at dinner... This restaurant was next door to our hotel and we had breakfast there. They have several "specials" and the service is quick and efficient. The prices are quite reasonable and we all thought the food was good. We will go there again when we are in the area.
