Good italian meals

This place has some really good Italian at a reasonable price, as well as good pizza, calzones and stromboli. Their stromboli's are quite large, and a small was able to feed two adults without a problem. They also have a fairly nice selection of deserts to choose from. I have eaten there in the... read more

The pizza is good, the portions are generous and the staff attentive and courteous. We try to hit here when we are in Gettysburg for a pizza.

With so many great 'non-chain' choices in Gettysburg, it easy to forget some places. We haven't been to LaBella in years, so decided to come back for a try. Used to come here and get their Special Cheesesteak sub all the time - they make their own sub bread and it's great! It's was a Monday night, so it was... More

We have been going to La Bella Italia for years as an alternative to "Chain" Italian Restaurants... after this last visit, though, I don't think we will be back for a while. The prices for Italian dishes were WAY over priced, even for Gettysburg, especially during the off peak season.. $18.49 for Chicken Parm. and plain Fettuccine Alfredo... really? My... More

In Gettysburg for a 1/2 marathon and wanted to carbo load. This is a local place that looks 1/2 pizza take out and 1/2 restaurant. Service was great. We had different dishes and the food was good. Very warm environment

We were looking for some good Italian food. While the service was attentive and quick, the food was disappointing. The eggplant parmigiana was a lot of breading and not much eggplant. The side of spaghetti was lukewarm. The lasagna had lots of cheese, was piping hot but did not have much pasta. The salads were good and plentiful, the bread... More

PIzza was ok and plain. I had half hamburger and it was average. I would not recommend. We also had a variety of subs. The bread was fresh and subs were what you would normally get in most Italian pizza joints. Not a bad place but i did not find it great.

We visited this restaurant while touring the Gettysburg area. The place is very warm and cozy. We were looking forward to a nice Italian dinner and a glass of wine. I guess in PA it is difficult to get a wine license because this restaurant did not have it (not the restaurant's fault) but we were disappointed. We ordered the... More

Based on previous positive reviews, I was really looking forward to some of my favorite pasta. I called in with a takeout order, arriving home to eat it about half an hour later. I was pleased to see clams in their shells, but there was no aroma of clams or garlic. Luckily, of the 10 clams in my order, there... More

I'm guessing local people have different standards from ours. We stopped here because we were starving and it was open. We would never return, no matter how hungry. Our order was simple: caesar salad and three-cheese pizza. The salad was dressed with what seemed to be bottled creamy Italian (I really wouldn't know because I never buy bottled dressing.). One...
