Had our daughter & son-in-laws wedding reception here, and could not have been more pleased! Atmosphere.....service....food....EVERYTHING just fantastic! The chef even stopped by our table to see if everything was fine! WILL go back again!

Dinner here was delightful. We had a party of three and were seated at a table in a cozy room with a roaring fire. The server explained that most foods -- except for the seafood -- were sourced from local farms. Three of us tried three different entrees, all of which were delicious. One had the seared scallops which were... More

We went to the Inn for lunch. The building was charming, as it was built in the early 1800's and is decorated in the period. It was fairly empty the day we were there and we were able to look around at the various rooms. We chose a room with a fireplace and beautifully appointed tables. Our casual lunch of... More

My husband & I had an excellent meal at this restaurant on Saturday night. The filet mignon was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared; however, we also enjoyed the scallops and risotto meal. The service was top notch and we will definitely be returning here in the near future.

I went to this restaurant for the first time today for a birthday dinner. The staff went out of their way to make this enjoyable experience from the minute we walked in. The restaurant itself is quaint and homey feeling with a small sitting area with a fireplace, comfy chairs, and a beautiful glass chess set. When we were seated... More

My girlfriend and I came here on our last night in Gettysburg as a treat to ourselves for having a pleasant vacation. The restaurant is so quaint and homey that you can't help but feel that you are back at grandma's house. We were greeted by a very professional hostess who seated us in a quiet corner next to an... We came a very busy weekend yet the wait was not unreasonable and the food was very well prepared and hot. Cost was not cheap but worth what we enjoyed in return. I would recommend.

We have stayed at Herr's Inn several times and it was the place of our first weekend together as a couple. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. We recently returned for dinner which was exquisite. The steak was so fresh and tender it cut with a regular knife. The crouton bowl that surrounds all the salads is... More

We ate dinner here on a rainy Tuesday night in October. It’s maybe a 10-min. drive from the center of Gettysburg to get to the inn. We opted to sit in the huge glassed in porch area for dinner, which had a nice exposed brick wall next to our table. There was one waitress, and two other couples. It took... More

Spent two evenings in Gettysburg and one night we ate @ this restaurant [ in a charming building (1815) that housed a Confederate Field Hospital, welcomed Davey Lewis the bank robber and has several haunting guests roaming the Inn] but unfortunately our meal was JUST AVERAGE in every way except price. Having said that we ate the night before @... More
