General Pickett's Buffets

This was the first place that we had dinner during our stay in Gettysburg. Very good buffet. My husband loved the ham, I liked the seafood and fresh vegetables. He also loved the coconut cake dessert. Very busy place as they had plenty of room for tour groups.

Excellent place to go and sit down with some good food. Vegetables fruits and salads along with several different meats are available on the buffet. The staff here is the best. They all paid lots of attention to my little one and made her feel right at home.

The service wasn't bad, the reviews are right, this is a large group attraction. The night we were there we were asked how fast we could eat because they had 4 coach buses coming in an hour. We agreed to "eat fast" but I wasn't impressed with the food. It's not that it was terrible, it was average, nothing spectacular.... More

It's a buffet, that about covers it. They obviously cater to the tour buses. The food is decent, hot and there's all-you-can-eat of it. I especially liked their chicken nuggets; that surprised me too. That's not to say that the rest of the offering wasn't also good. They also feature a

I ate at General Pickett's with my mom and two young children. We all enjoyed the food very much. There was a lot of room for accommodating large groups, and our waitress was wonderful! The food was good, but I felt like there could have been a bigger selection of foods. I don't normally eat a lot of dessert, but... More

Loved the selection of food. Our waitress was really good, especially considering how busy it was. Really interesting mix of people

We came here with a large family group composed of little kids (under 6), grandparents and parents. We were seated quickly (this was before 7 pm), and no wait to eat for a group of hungry people. Parking is plenty. The big benefit of this place is that there is no formality. Nicer restaurants beg for children to be more... More

The ONLY good thing about this place was the friendly waiter - and he wasn't even that great because the place was a circus - everything else was awful! I went once as a kid with my parents back in the early 90s and hated it but figured I'd give it a try as an adult to see if it... More

Warning...buses stop here so may have a long wait if you see a bus! Good food and nice staff. Good variety for adults and kids. Food was fresh and hot.
