Great food!

Great buffet! Good home style cooking with a huge dessert bar! Either make a reservation or get there early because they fill up quick!

We were not sure exactly what we wanted to eat on the Friday evening but figured a buffet would give everyone plenty of choices. We were pleasantly surprised when we discovered it was Seafood night on the buffet. The Crab legs were cooked perfectly and they were brought out timely and were plentiful, a little expensive but we ate our... More

During months of planning our family trip I looked up Gen.Picket's buffet. Everything sounded good at the time, but I wondered would it be as good in person. The answer, no it was way better. Busy yes but you expect that with great food and friendly service. After a long day it was just the place to sit, relax and fill... More

My family and I really enjoyed our meal here. Overall a good selection for a buffet, and the food was quite good. I would definitely return.

Stopped here because it looked busy and we like buffets. Service was good and friendly but the food was mediocre at best. Would have been a good price if the food had been better.

Maybe I am being harsh, but this place is really about "all you CAN eat" which places quantity over everything else......some people undoubtedly like this.

Popular place especially with the tour groups so it can get a little crowded. Selections include baked ham & roast beef, fried chicken, and sliced (real) turkey in gravy, plus several side items (vegetables & such), a nice salad bar, and a variety of home-made desserts. There is a gift shop and the battle theater wax museum attached (the restaurant... More

Very popular, especially with tour busses, homestyle buffet. Carving stations, good starchy sides, nice dessert selection. The battle theater wax museum is on the opposite side of the building, and it features a good gift shop. Make no mistake, this is a touristy place, but it's priced decently, has good variety, especially for families and the staff is friendly and... More

Went here for lunch during our Gettysburg vacation and didn't expect a lot since most buffets are pretty sad quality food but the kids really wanted to go here. We were surprised with the amazing customer service. The waitress was very friendly and even the chef came out to chat. Food was average frozen or canned food with a few... More

General Picketts Buffet had pretty good homestyle food at a decent price. The buffet didn't stay stocked on a couple of the items that I was hoping to try during the time we were there but all in all it wasn't too bad. There's also a dessert bar that had quite a few choices. The staff was very friendly. There's... More
