Go somewhere else!

We went here on a whim, and I definitely wish we had picked somewhere else. There were 5 in our group, and they put us in the back room, where we were completely alone. It could have been nice, but the atmosphere was all in the main dining room. The food was overpriced, and pretty bland... read more

Didn't have time to eat here on this trip but have eaten there in the past and always enjoyed it. Will definitely schedule it in for our next trip to Gettysburg.

Had dinner here. Ordered veal... It had good taste but was very tough. Only a couple diners on the night I was there but you would have thought they were swamped based on the service. If I had it to do over again, I would go somewhere else.

We held our board retreat dinner at the restaurant and not only did we love the food we had a fantastic time with "Nina", Jen and Jessica! Thanks ladies for making us feel right at home even though we were miles away from Canada!

Great food, prices were fair. Bar prices were good. Staff was nice and were treated great. The menu was great and offers lots of choices. So many I had a hard time. Looking around the room, I saw people enjoying all their dinners. Seemed to be a local favorite as many people knew each other.

My husband & I ate at Mamma Ventura's the last night of our wonderful Gettysburg stay. This was the only disappointing meal of a 5-night trip. The interior is lovely, but the food is mediocre, coupled w/a very confusing menu which does not state that all sauces other than marinara are extra costs. Pizza toppings are $1.75 each extra, so... Having read previous reviews, we were a bit wary about eating here. However, we were seated promptly, and although the place was full, our orders were taken quickly. The desserts looked great as we walked past them, so we decided against starters. Home made pasta dishes were excellent, with plenty of delicious sauces and cheese. Bread rolls were fresh and... Atmosphere is non-existent. The food is over-priced. The clientele sometimes leaves much to be desired. The servers make you feel like you're an inconvenience, especially when they vacuum next to you.

Had a family dinner that was good and priced very reasonably. Four stars is a bit high, however, they deserve better then three. The service was very friendly and the food was good. Keep your expectations in check and you will enjoy your very fair priced meal. We spent $40 for a family of 3 with no alcohol.
