Walked into a very packed small space but was greeted by a very friendly hostess and was seated at a cozy 2 top. The food was really good. House dressing was delicious on our side salads and the pizza was crispy, cheesy and saucy...just the way we like it. Can't complain at all about the food, but the service from... More

I had the steak salad. The steak was a bit overcooked for my taste (asked for it rare, it came out medium well) but it was still tasty. The service was good and the price was acceptable. This place looks "fancy" from the outside but is really just a normal nice place.

Been twice before on previous trips and loved it. This time a disaster. Went on a quiet weeknight. Place almost empty. Heard the people at table next to us complaining about the woman's meal. Should have left then. Sat there 15 minutes ignored!!!!! Just as we were getting ready to leave our waitress came over and apoligized. Ok ordered drinks... More

nice menu, food was all home made and very tasty. We've been to Italy enough to know the difference between true Italian and American/Italian...this is the real deal

They have their own pastry chef. The spaghetti & meatballs, pizza, and chicken sauteed in olive oil and white wine sauce are our favorites.

My husband convinced me to dine at Mamma Ventura's, I am so happy that he did. We were warmly greeted by our server and received excellent service. Mamma Ventura's gravy (you may refer to it as sauce) is EXCEPTIONAL! I ordered the homemade lasagna. The lasagna noodles were crafted with exceptional care and the combination of sauce, meat and cheeses... More

The spinach, chicken and bacon ravioli was perfect, but the beef milanese was drowned in sauce. Read more on my blog: http://theworldatoz.com/2015/04/13/food-mamma-venturas-gettysburg-pa/

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great - it was average. We didn't have reservations on the College's parent's weekend, so everything was super busy, but we did get a table for 6. Staff was friendly, I would try again.

It never fails; the place that you avoid turns out to be the best of all! After 3 days of visiting local eateries and being highly disappointed, we decided to try Mamma Ventura's. Having grown up in Italy, I have had my fair share of so called "authentic Italian restaurants" only to be let down. I read a few reviews... More
