It's a favorite stop

We stop here at least once when we visit Gettysburg. A bit pricy especially for breakfast. Hint: bury an omelet and share its plenty for 2. We do not eat lunch or dinner there just bkfst. A locals hangout but nice.

The place is very convenient. Its right in the center of downtown Gettysburg, near museums and gift shops. We came here on a whim for breakfast and it landed up being very good. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I got some eggs, toast, and grits and it was fantastic. I've had a lot of grits in my day... More

We finally discovered the truth about the massive loss of life at Gettysburg. We were taught in school that the horrible casualties were as a result of the vicious fighting. This illusion was dispelled after myself and two other unfortunate souls sat down for breakfast here. The assault on our pallats began with the opening salvo of a filthy plastic... More

This restaurant has a wide range of things. They even have food for vegetarians. So, if in a group someone will find something to eat, even if it is a grilled cheese with tomatoes and onions. The veggie burgers are really good, served on a sub roll. Some restaurants in Gettysburg try to charge you 50 cents for this, and... More

Ate there for the 4th time in 2 years and food was below expectations this time. Ordered Chicken Parmesan. Small amount of sauce was bland, and chicken even blander. I think they took two boneless breasts out of the freezer and cooked them in a pan with no seasoning whatsoever. Other members of our party reported average tasting food, not... More

They have the best sandwiches and meals you will find. It is inexpensive and has such good food that we made this a repeat meal location. It is right on the main stretch of the historic area. Service is fantastic and friendly.

We came into town late and stopped in to eat dinner. We order the haunted burger, which was decent, and the chicken strips which were very good, and a regular hamburger. My son's regular hamburger order was not complicated but consisted of mayo, onions, pickles, and tomatoes. She specifically asked if he wanted cheese and lettuce. He said no, when the... More

Went to the Avenue Restaurant for breakfast and it wasn't that good. The pancakes seemed like they were fried and they upset my stomach after I ate them. The restaurant was empty, which should have been a clue for a Saturday morning. The wait staff was too busy talking with the cops that were eating there that morning.

Best breakfast near the 1863 Inn in Gettysburg good service and generous portions. The sweet potato pancakes and omelets are divine. Always a great place to start the day in Gettysburg
