Mr. G's

After walking the streets and touring Gettysburg, all of us were hot and exhausted, so we decided to get some ice cream. The people in here are very nice and helpful. The place was PACKED and I could see why! The ice cream was EXCELLENT and I'd probably go back.

Come for the ice cream, stay for the ring game. This place is the best. I went to Gettysburg College and while I'm sad that it wasn't there my first few years of school, it's probably for the better - would have turned the freshman 15 into freshman 30. This is by far the best ice cream in Gettysburg. It's... More

We walked past this place a few hundred times and last year stopped in. The ice cream and treats were excellent. Always a warm and friendly atmosphere and service was great!

Looks right over to Culp's Hill and on Baltimore Avenue. Great place to stop during a summer visit to Gettysburg. Not open in the winter - but that probably isn't a surprise.

You know the ice cream is going to be good if the line is out the door, but the wait is never too long. I've tried several of their selections and have never been disappointed. There is a nice seating area outside, which is great for families.

One extra about stopping here for ice cream is that the building existed at the time of the battle. One can see scars from the bullets in the brickwork. The witness tree out front shows in many period pictures taken during the 1860's.

This place always has a long line, but that's because it has darn good ice cream! Hands down the best Ice cream joint in town. Try the Salted Caramel and Mint Oreo.

our family enjoyed an ice cream treat, a touch of history and old parlor games. It was a great snack stop on our tour.
