Delicious!!!

We stopped in just before going home. The Sarsaparilla was refreshing! Loved it so much, I purchased a cooler and took 3 quarts home for my husband. He loved it!

One of the things I really enjoyed was going there on a Saturday evening, as it's a busy area. That said, the ice cream is good, but nothing to rave about. No disrespect to the owners, but I found the ice cream to be plain, nothing special nor memorable. I had two scoops, the butter pecan and the salted caramel.... More

The ice cream tasted like store brand -- not the good stuff the crappy generic stuff people buy for office parties. I'm sure the sauce in the fudge ripple was Hershey's, which is fine but not from a well-hyped ice cream place. I have no idea why people love it or why they would stand in line for it... but... It's an ice cream parlor what's not to like? I had a flurry made with reeses peanut butter cups. I probably gained 5lbs after eating it. All kidding aside it is a nice place with outdoor seating and a clean interior. They worked quickly to get through a huge holiday crowd. The owner was hands on and honestly very very... More

Great ice cream and good value for your money. Love the history behind the place also. My husband liked having their sasparilla since he hasn't had it in a long time. It's definitely a must try.

It's clear that lots of reviewers have raved about this place. I liked the ice cream, mind you, but I think I've been spoiled by places like Jeni's in Ohio. G's is in a great old house and it was fun eating good ice cream while sitting in the yard. It's in a convenient location--walk there and enjoy the 19th-century... More

Ice cream was great. Homemade and the hot fudge sundaes were wonderful. You do get your money's worth at Mr. G's. A must stop if you want some ice cream.

OK, maybe I'm just getting a little tired of ice cream as I've had so much of it in the last few weeks. I found Mr. G's to be good ice cream, but nothing exceptional. That's not bad, mind you, it really isn't, but the wait for the ice cream didn't really result in me being overjoyed with what I... More
