Thanks to Trip Advisor, We Found the Best Ice Cream

In a word: YUM, but who am I kidding, I never stop at one word. We were going to have one dessert while in Gettysburg and settled on ice cream. I read all of the reviews on Trip Advisor and chose the number one pick' Mr. G's. The home-made ice cream was so delicious that my husband and I... read more

Have heard a lot of good things about Mr. G's and overall would say I agree. Was very busy but service was quick and very friendly. Ice cream very good and portion size was good. Not the best ice cream I have had, but better than most.

Hands down the best cream I've ever had. Was in Gettysburg for two weeks over the July 4th Holiday and ate here every day (one day 2x). Of the many varieties, I tried a coke float with vanilla soft serve, birthday cake, blackberry cheesecake, cookie dough and salted caramel. Others in my group had butter pecan, chocolate and creamsicle over... More

A meter maid directed us here when my husband wanted soft-serve ice cream. Theirs is the best we've ever tasted! It was rich, not runny or full of air, and the portions aren't at all stingy.

The pumpkin roll ice cream was awesome! We also tried the cookie dough ice cream (okay) and the chocolate peanut butter ice cream (very yummy). Reasonable portions and reasonably priced!

Stopped here for a cool treat on the way out of town after a long summer day touring the battlefield. Had the salted caramel ice cream in a waffle cone, but was tempted to try their fresh blueberry milkshake. The salted caramel was great - Creamy and flavorful with lots of caramel running through it. Service was polite and fast,... More

They offer homemade or soft serve, and both are fabulous! We stop there every year on our annual visit to Gettysburg. Wouldn't miss it for anything!

From the UK. Was here two years ago with a friend but without my family. Now back on holiday and insisted we came as a family. The ice cream is incredibly good - especially the salted caramel. Also go to gift shop behind, really lovely things and a very kind and courteous assistant. Highly recommend !

Got a tip from a college student that it was the best place in town for ice cream. He was right! Best ice cream ever! Had dessert here every day after dinner before going back to where I was staying.
