Gettysburg's only Irish-owned and operated pub offers a genuine taste of Ireland through "Ceol, cainte agus craic" Music, talk & fun. Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found back in the old country with friendly service, a large selection of Irish whiskies, the best of Ireland's draft beers, and the perfect pour of Guinness which is complimented with a carefully picked selection of international and domestic premium beers, wines and spirits. Our kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners' family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland. Paired with traditional pub fare, made in house daily from scratch with local ingredients where possible. Our menu is sure to satisfy the most discerning of tastes. Enjoy your meal in our cozy dining room, by the fireplace or at the bar.The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music, with a traditional 'Seisun' from 2 til 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.

Fun Irish Pub, Good Good!

Visited early in the afternoon. My husband had a burger and it was excellent. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was excellent. Service was spot on. Guinness was PERFECTION. They have a two page whiskey list. AMAZING. True Irish Pub!

I can't say enough amazing things about this place. We sat at the bar, our bartender was right there ready to hand us drinks and menus for lunch. First; Long Island iced tea was to die for and cheap. Second; the food... I've had a ton of French onion soup in my day but this was by far the best.... More

The menu has lots of good old Irish dishes and other items on the menu. The restaurant is a pub type atmosphere, so it tends to get a little loud. I believe there are bands on some evenings however we were there for lunch so we didn't get to experience the music. The items we had were tasty and the... More

Delicious. Great food and good service. The only bad thing to say is that they task for your phone number to text you when your table is ready, but never explained this. We don't have texting capabilities on our phone and waited much longer than necessary with others being seated before us who came after us. They never inquired about... More

I read about this place online. I'm a big fan of Irish pubs when traveling somewhere new. I intended to try, especially after two locals highly recommended this place. It was delicious! The server was very nice and knowledgable about the menu. The Guinness was perfect, so were the wings with the combo sauce. My husband and I also enjoyed... More

We stayed two nights in Gettysburg and this pub was so good we ate there both days. It was always busy and had a great atmosphere. We ate at the bar and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good and arrived promptly.

If you at all enjoy Irish food and drink you need to come bye. Be sure to make a reservation, but stop in early and go to upstairs bar. It has a very authentic Irish feel to it.

My boyfriend and I are here on a Sunday around 8 pm. I got the "Wee-bit" of Fish and Chips and my boyfriend got the Guinness Beef Stew. My fish and chips was delicious and my boyfriend said the stew was very good but not how his mom makes it, haha. I also got dessert which was a cheesecake, can't... More

This was my first visit to an authentic Irish pub. I personally opted for the fish and chips - however, sampled everyone else's dishes! The onion soup is over the top - I was waiting for my husband to pick up the bowl and lick it clean! Friend who chose the restaurant was very pleased with his dish - which... More

Our hostess from the B&B we were staying at, recommended Garryowen Irish Pub to us. We had about a 30 minute wait but they notify you by text when your table is ready so we were able to walk up the street and take some pictures while waiting. After being seated it was difficult to decide on what to order... More
