Gettysburg's only Irish-owned and operated pub offers a genuine taste of Ireland through "Ceol, cainte agus craic" Music, talk & fun. Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found back in the old country with friendly service, a large selection of Irish whiskies, the best of Ireland's draft beers, and the perfect pour of Guinness which is complimented with a carefully picked selection of international and domestic premium beers, wines and spirits. Our kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners' family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland. Paired with traditional pub fare, made in house daily from scratch with local ingredients where possible. Our menu is sure to satisfy the most discerning of tastes. Enjoy your meal in our cozy dining room, by the fireplace or at the bar.The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music, with a traditional 'Seisun' from 2 til 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.

Go early, stay late

If you want really good Irish food, good selection of beers and such, and the pub experience (sometimes loud and boisterous), this is it. Go no farther. Life is too short to waste on chain restaurants. Thx Garryowens! We'll be back.

Garryowen is a fantastic authentic Irish pub. Several of their recipes are that of the owners Irish Grandmother. Amazing Shepherds Pie & a great beer selection.

Stopped in due to a recommendation from Segway Tours which we had just visited. Good food, very pleasant waitress, fast service. Had a Reuben sandwich which was fantastic! One of the people in our party ordered a Scotch Egg which she shared with all of us and I highly recommend. It looks odd, but so tasty! Wasn't crowded at all... More

Before touring the battlefield, my son and I found this restaurant on Trip Advisor when we found the restaurant we had planned on was closed. It had good ratings, and we agreed. I drank Rebel Red Birch Beer and had Benburb Burger ( lamb) and he had Ulster Fry (an assortment of sausages and a fried egg) and drank Stubborn... More

We tried to go to dinner here both nights, but it is not a large restaurant and there was a wait for table. We ended up going for lunch about 12:30 the last day we were in Gettysburg. Unfortunately, we weren't very hungry, but it was our last chance to eat here. We both ordered the BLT since it seemed... More

When we walked in it was a Monday around 5pm. Not really crowded but they looked at my family which consisted of two adults and 4 children and I knew they had no intention of calling us when our table was ready. Three hours later still no phone call. Of course we ate somewhere else way before then but it... More

Awesome food and service! The mood was subdued and quiet, in true Celtic fashion. I also heard some Irish accents from some staff.
