Gettysburg's only Irish-owned and operated pub offers a genuine taste of Ireland through "Ceol, cainte agus craic" Music, talk & fun. Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found back in the old country with friendly service, a large selection of Irish whiskies, the best of Ireland's draft beers, and the perfect pour of Guinness which is complimented with a carefully picked selection of international and domestic premium beers, wines and spirits. Our kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners' family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland. Paired with traditional pub fare, made in house daily from scratch with local ingredients where possible. Our menu is sure to satisfy the most discerning of tastes. Enjoy your meal in our cozy dining room, by the fireplace or at the bar.The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music, with a traditional 'Seisun' from 2 til 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.

Excellent The Scotch Egg was outstanding, the side salad with homemade dressing was a good size and the dressing was outstanding. The reuben sandwich had excellent flavor, but was a little small for the price point. The need to text me about my table, when I was standing in the bar 12 feet away was a little overkill. All in... nothing like soup and a sandwich to warm you up on a very cold Friday morning AND of course nothing beats an Irish coffee.

Visited twice over the same weekend. Staff was very friendly and remembered us. Did not have a chance to eat, but plan to on the next visit.

Garryowen is run by people with real Irish roots and has good entertainment certain nights. I have always had good pub grub there, with a solid selection of draft beers. The decor is interesting, and the place has a nice feeling psychologically, whether it's a quiet lunch or a noisy weekend night. Service is always pleasant and good. Nice, safe... More

Stopped here for a warm lunch on a cold day. Was craving a hot bowl of their wonderful crab bisque. Got there about 11:15 and apparently they don't turn the heat on until 11:10. Soup was hot and hubby's bangors and mash was delicious. Just sorry we had to gulp it down since it was so cold in there. 2/13/15

Wonderful Appetizers, Entrees and Desserts however the coffee we had was terrible. We would also suggest that Half and half is provided.

Valentine's Day...I made reservations and they took us right on time if not a little sooner. Very nice employees everywhere. My husband had the Crab Bisque, which he loved and I had the Irish Onion Soup which I loved and so did he (I gave him a taste and he kept asking for more!) For dinner he had the Shepherds... More

This is a stop we have to make when we come to town! The food is amazing! Everything we have tried has been wonderful! We love the variety of beverage choices too. We were seated right away and had great service!
