The food here is amazing! The staff are wonderful. Our meals were brought to us in a timely fashion. We recommend eating here every time you stay in Gettysburg!

My fiancé and I decided to have lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, Cafe Saint Amand. I ordered fish & chips, when eating the fish I noticed the middle was raw. The waitress, very pleasant brought me a new piece of fish.. Which was still raw.! Later that night I was vomiting non-stop. I'm very disappointed in this restaurant.

My husband and I went for brunch on Valentine's Day. It was very busy, but the service was still very attentive and we really enjoyed our meal. I got the croque madame and my husband had the strawberry stuffed french toast (a special for V-day). Both were deelicious, although the bread it mine was quite overdone. We finished with a... More

It was a very cold February Saturday morning and we were looking for a great breakfast in the Lincoln square area - we happened upon this wonderful little restaurant. The ambiance was great, the wait staff attentive, and the food was incredible. I had the Croque-Madame - Delectable!!!! Ham/melted Gruyere cheese, dijon mustard between thick French rustic bread topped with... More

We happened in this great little place on a late Saturday afternoon. Lucky us! Everything was perfect, service, coffee, food and dessert. We made it in just in time to order Steak Poutine from their special lunch menu, and the chicken & vegetable crepe from the regular menu. Both dishes rated as one of the top meals we've ever had.... Can only speak for breakfast because that is what we had. Wonderful! Authentic French cuisine. I have a soft spot for crepes and theirs were delicious. Unfortunately we found it our last day in Gettysburg. If we had ate here first, we would have eaten breakfast here every day we were there. One final note, because it's in downtown there... More

Cute little restaurant on the corner in downtown Gettysburg. However it is more like a Brasserie than a bistro. We had dinner here the first night and liked it so much that we came back for breakfast (which was terrific). Our appetizers were warm brie cheese which was excellent and the crabcakes which were good. Although we had to send... More

I had the MOST WONDERFUL breakfast EVER at this wonderful little café. The staff were professional and helpful, but I cannot say enough about the food. Good coffee, orange juice, freshly made waffle with the sweetest strawberries (and lots of them), freshly made whipped cream. Not only filled me up but made me terribly HAPPY. Prices are very fair. This... More

Ambiance is French-like, menu selection is also definitely French....where else can you get wonderful crepes? I like the cameralized onion/Swiss cheese crepe with fresh fruit. French music plays in the background. A little bit of France in rural Gettysburg: wonderful!

Love going to Cafe Saint-Amand. Have been there numerous times for breakfast. The prices are great and the food fantastic. No better place in Gettysburg for breakfast. Excellent coffee which makes my day. Also, have tried lunch a few times. Food is homemade and hot. Would highly recommend a try. But if Sunday morning make a reservation on Saturday.
