Cute little restaurant on the corner in downtown Gettysburg. However it is more like a Brasserie than a bistro. We had dinner here the first night and liked it so much that we came back for breakfast (which was terrific). Our appetizers were warm brie cheese which was excellent and the crabcakes which were good. Although we had to send... More

I had the MOST WONDERFUL breakfast EVER at this wonderful little café. The staff were professional and helpful, but I cannot say enough about the food. Good coffee, orange juice, freshly made waffle with the sweetest strawberries (and lots of them), freshly made whipped cream. Not only filled me up but made me terribly HAPPY. Prices are very fair. This... More

Ambiance is French-like, menu selection is also definitely French....where else can you get wonderful crepes? I like the cameralized onion/Swiss cheese crepe with fresh fruit. French music plays in the background. A little bit of France in rural Gettysburg: wonderful!

Love going to Cafe Saint-Amand. Have been there numerous times for breakfast. The prices are great and the food fantastic. No better place in Gettysburg for breakfast. Excellent coffee which makes my day. Also, have tried lunch a few times. Food is homemade and hot. Would highly recommend a try. But if Sunday morning make a reservation on Saturday.

A friend and I met in Gettysburg for lunch today and had a great experience. We were both very pleased with the food; myself impressed with the Crepe de Poulet ala Ratatouille which was excellent. My friend enjoyed the Duo Magnifique (soup and half sandwich) and we topped off the meal by sharing a Berries and Cream Crepe--outstanding. The service... More

The service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is lovely. They have a large menu and the sandwich I ordered for lunch was really good. Their breakfast really left a lot to be desired though. After waiting for nearly 30 minutes, when patrons that came in after us already received their food, our food arrived and was cold. The... On a trip to Gettysburg, we ate lunch here on the recommendation of a local store owner. She said they had the best food in town- After dining here, I know that was an understatement! I had the steak and cheese crepe and my husband had the soup/sandwich combo. Both were delicious and served by a very attentive and friendly... More

Great food, great service, and a great value. The cafe has become a reason to visit Gettysburg. We always get great service (only one bad exp with a waitress whose name begins with J) most recently Faith one time and Brittany another time were outstanding even thoughthey were very busy.

We had dinner at Cafe Saint-Amand the day after Christmas. What an absolute delight it was. We both had beef bourginon. While it wasn't quite as good as in Burgundy it's the best we'd had in the States. We had a fantastic salad as well. the service was just right. The ambience is very pleasant. We found it so good that... More

The potato and leek soup, made with big chunks of redskin potato and lots of leek, was steaming hot and had a wonderful taste that wasn't overwhelming. The steak au poivre over mashed potatoes in a mushroom and cognac sauce was heavenly. Also, VERY reasonably priced for the quality and portion size. My only complaint - the waitress brought the...
