What makes this place so special is the amazing view of the NYC skyline. Dinner is not rushed and the service is very good too. The food presentation was terrific and the food is very good with right sized portions. This is the go to place for special occasions. They also have an out side deck that fills quickly with... More

We didn't eat at the restaurant(because of our casual attire) but I will say that the location is excellent if you have some free time before you arrive at Newark airport. The restaurant is next to a powerful 9/11 Memorial. There are also gorgeous views of downtown NYC.

Celebrated our son's 25th bday last night. Valet was good, wine selection always good and extensive. Had the watermelon soup with tuna tartare, excellent; selection of seafood with a couple of oysters, some Alaskan King crab ( cracked already), small piece of lobster meat, a couple of jumbo shrimp cocktail and a martini glass full of crab meat. The crab... More

While much of our 10 party group to celebrate our Mother's 91st birthday enjoyed food and decor, we had a major disappointment. Two bouquets given to her were entrusted to care of our waiter. We left in a thunder storm and forgot them. Phone calls and a visit next day found they had been discarded with no apology or hint... More

The food was good and the prices reasonable. The only thing I was displeased about was that my salmon was undercooked. My friend ordered the same and hers was coked medium. When I asked the waiter to cook my dish a bit more, he said, "We always cook it medium" It happened to be cooked rare so he should not... More

Went with a party of 4 last night for a Birthday celebration. The place was beautiful as usual, service was impeccable. The food was average, though presentment was very nice. It was disappointing.

Went to the Highlawn Pavilion for the first time with friends to celebrate a birthday. I'd never been before and found the building itself stunning. I didn't use the valet parking, but easily found a spot. Met my friends and went inside to be shown to our table, which was situated between the lovely bar and the beautiful view of... More

Dinner on July 4th, and had a great meal with a clear view of New York, and the eastward towns. Lots of fireworks were seen from this vantage point, and a delicious meal besides. Prices a little high, but well worth it. Dress is neat casual, with most of the men in jackets, and the ladies in nice evening attire.... More

I went with friends here to see the 911 Memorial which looks out on a spectacular view of Manhattan. I noticed a Bride and Groom with their wedding party going into the Highlawn. We wound up having a lite dinner in their outside area. Both the food and service was good. A pleasant dinner with a view!

Myself and two colleagues had a challenging week, so chose to go here and hope we would not feel out of place with our rather casual clothing. We didn't. We sat outside on a gorgeous evening with the best view I have seen for a long time. The memorial to 911 makes this area feel slightly surreal. Back to the... More
