Nice Place

We enjoyed McLoone's after a day at the zoo down the block. The service was very slow but the food was good. The view is very nice but we were too warm to sit outside and opted to sit in the dining room

I'll cut right to chase - don't waste your time. The food was horrible. This is my third trip to this restaurant and when they first opened up, we had a delicious lunch, price was a bit high but well worth it. Last night, all three meals were solid D+ rating. My wife ordered a veggie pasta dish - all... More

I don't understand why Trip Advisor doesn't combine these reviews under the misspelled name with McLoone's, the correct spelling, into one set of reviews, rather than persist in keeping these listings for the same restaurant separate. Hello, is there anybody in there?

1 - Had reservations but still had to wait 25 mins for table 2 - Weak Sangria and $12 a glass for mostly ice 3 - Waitress was hard of hearing and very forgetful. Forgot my husbands first drink, bus boy brought the second one very quickly, ordered a third but was never brought at all. Had to keep reminding... More

We enjoyed a family dinner here recently. I had heard mixed reviews about the food, our meals were pretty good. The service was a bit slow for our liking, but not surprising considering there was a wait to be seated. Luckily we had reservations. My one gripe is that they don't take reservations for the outdoor tables.

McCloon's is a large restaurant with a terrace overlooking a lake. They have tastefully landscaped the grounds and the walk around the lake. I had the traditional onion soup and a hamburger. The soup was good, the hamburger was passable. My lunch companions had a Caesar Salad (limp) and a so so turkey club. Our server Brian was both very... More

This is one of the most beautiful venues I have ever visited! I recommend it for a date day or night in all seasons. It should easily give the Manor and the Highlawn competition. There is plenty of free parking. It is immaculate. The views are to die for. It is romantic warm and a bucket list add on. The... More

McLoone's in West Orange is a nice space, with outdoor seating overlooking a new man made lake near Turtle Back Zoo and S. Mountain Arena in Essex County, NJ. That said, both the food and the service could be better. Neither is terrible, rather, both are inconsistent. Given the prices, this should not be the case. The ambiance coupled with... More

Stopped here for late lunch. Food is always excellent and wait staff very friendly. This particular McCloons is situated lakefront across from the Turtle Back Zoo. Really nice outdoor seating over looking the lake. The outdoor bar area features tables with fire pits. Today the weather was perfect for an outdoor lunch. Inside eating area is very large with a... We visited the restaurant for the first time this summer. While the food was not exceptional, it was very fresh, the drinks were of good quality, the service friendly, and the setting (on the outside terrace) extremely pleasant. We would strongly recommend this for a casual meal.
