I enjoyed a terrific lunch at McLoone's Boathouse. The building & grounds are beautiful for indoor & outdoor dining. It's on a reservation, so you can walk around the perimeter. A very relaxing atmosphere. The staff is quite attentive. The food was good-very good. A lot of effort to detail. Our waitress Nicola was terrific!

I visited the Resturant when it first open and was not impressed. There is hardly anything on the menu for vegetarians. The service was slow. Then I went back again after a walk around the lake sat at a table and for 45 minutes not one person came over to ask if we wanted to order . Shame shame on... More

I like going to McLoones in West Orange. The building and understated decor are lovely. The indoor bar area is large and they have entertainment. The outdoor seating area and bar are above average with a lot of seating and beautiful views of the resevior with colored water sprays. The service is good most of the time however I have... More

We've been here before for drinks, but not for dinner. Wait staff was very friendly and courteous in getting us seated and drinks. I had a Mediterranean Mule (think Moscow mule) which was excellent. Cosmos for the others with no complaints. We shared (4 of us) their seafood platter, which, while good was maybe a bit pricey although I do... More

Ive been to the boathouse 5 times, when visiting kids who live in the area. Great facility, very big, actually way too big for a good restaurant, more like an amphitheatre. Seems clean and well maintained Beautiful setting on the small lake next to the zoo and a park,,, this is the real attraction. Five meals, 1ok,3 not so good,... More

The view was great, our server did a great job and did not rush us, even though it was busy. One of my guests is a catering mgr, he immediately noticed the bad tomatoes, the soggy salad and the cold hamburgers. The food was terrible

I'll cut right to chase - don't waste your time. The food was horrible. This is my third trip to this restaurant and when they first opened up, we had a delicious lunch, price was a bit high but well worth it. Last night, all three meals were solid D+ rating. My wife ordered a veggie pasta dish - all... More

We enjoyed McLoone's after a day at the zoo down the block. The service was very slow but the food was good. The view is very nice but we were too warm to sit outside and opted to sit in the dining room
