Brought my family here for pizza and loved it! Great pizza experience. If you love classic old school Italian, this is your spot. I read a prior review and tried the artichoke and fried calamari with a pizza and it was great! Order yours we'll done and you won't be disappointed! Looked like family run and it showed. Reasonably priced... More

As most of my followers know, I write a lot of reviews on all the sites, and I am sad to say this is one of the poorest kept restaurants I have been to in the last 3 years. It is such a shame because it had such a good reputation many years ago. The owners son met us at... More

Tonight was the first time back to Starlite in years and it is everything I expected. Great food and great family atmosphere with great people. The place is run by family and it shows in there dedication and attention to care. They made my family feel like I was a part of there family. They have updated their menu to... More

I was Frank's customer in the restaurant, and I remain Patty's customer today. As I know both parties and was there when Starlite was sold, I think Frank's daughter is out of line. As I recall when Frank became ill, Patty and her family kept that business going. As my family ate there on average 3 times per week, I... More

Ok, It has been a long time coming...The original owner, Frank Fiore was the star in starlite... ...Opened in 1961 (as the slogan still says)...through the years my dad would jump through hoops just to cater to his customers...Started out with 5 stools and two tables..working there for many years, Starlite was the center of Eateries in West Orange....in the... I live in town for over 30 years and ate there once every 10 years with the hope it improved. Instead of spending money on the stucco should have taken cooking classes and courses in managing a restaurant. Restaurant Imposible should come and do the place. West Orange can use a good neighborhood Italian Restaurant but Starlite is not the... More

The stuffed artichoke was cold inside and a bit difficult to eat with all the outside leaves still on. The pizza was thin crust and tasty. The crust was a bit papery when fresh. It was actually better the next day.

Only have had the pizza here but its very good !! Nice size glass of wine too. Only problem is they don't take credit cards anymore which makes me believe they're having financial problems. Looks like their buying their alcohol at a retail liquor store too. Hope they can turn it around.

Visited with a Groupon. But the experience was so poor --- with or without a discount -- that we cannot believe the restaurant stays in business. First, the dish that was advertised as part of the Groupon (seafood fra diavolo pasta) is not available as part of the Groupon. That's bait and switch. Second, the salad is chopped lettuce and... Even with a groupon, it was poor. Caesar salad was nothing more than oil poured on lettuce. Chicken francaise was tough. Could barely cut it with a knife. The pizza was so so. We had gone a few months before and it was average. Thought we'd try again, especially since there was a groupon.
