Ideal for a special occasion

My family and I went to the Seafood Buffet on Saturday night (which costs $10 more per person for a Saturday as opposed to other nights). Lovely formal dining place. There's a hall for a la carte with a live pianist. There's a hall for Full eat all you can Buffet. Upstairs there's a ball room dancing hall under a day light (or moon light at night?) dome. Every place exhibits European ambiance. Excellent food, excellent service. Enjoyed particularly their buffet with lobsters, fresh shrimp, fresh... More

Normally, when I attend weddings at The Manor, I am not disappointed. I will never return however, for a large scale staggered event like Easter dinner. Four of us had the 6:30 time slot. We arrived early and enjoyed a few cocktails in the piano-bar room. The pianist was excellent and we enjoyed the intricate food displays showcased in the... More

We just came from a Bat Mitzvah in March 2015 and went to The Manor on Prospect Ave. in West Orange, NJ for the reception. There were 2 affairs hosted at the same time and we were well separated from the other reception. Our reception consisted of a cocktail hour, followed by a sit down buffet (buffet in the same... Small wedding, but the food was first class. Service for groups was well planned with the exception of the delay for cutting the cake. Children went hope due to the delay.

Went on a date one evening just after Valentine's Day and had a great meal. Our waiter, David, was very knowledgeable about food and wine and carried a great conversation with my date about luxury cars. The food was excellent, very creatively presented, and the dining room(s) are beautifully decorated (with chandeliers bigger than my car). The foie gras was... More

The last time I was at The Manor for their buffet, was 4 years ago. My husband I went the other night for my birthday. I was concerned that we would be disappointed because the venue is old and stale. We were NOT disappointed and they 'still got it'. They have done some renovations, they have new dinnerware and our... More

We booked a table for 4 on a Saturday night in February. The Manor is a beautiful old style mansion. We were told there is 2 seatings 6 to 8 or 8 to 10. We picked the 6 to 8 PM seating. We were also told that they prefer men to wear Jackets. That doesn't mean you have to wear... More

I'll start off by saying that this is an absolutely gorgeous venue and it is certainly picturesque enough for weddings or anything special event (I can easily see why it's popular). I came here for a business dinner back in November and I was definitely impressed; I had driven by here quite a few times, but I never knew how... More
