Spotting but good dim sum

This place is close to us, so we come here for our dim sum fix. It's unusual- some days the dim sum is really fresh, comes out hot and is excellent. Some days, it's very recycled, and just ok. But prices are reasonable, the assortment the norm, and it get's our dim sum fix over with. Management... read more

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and it was fabulous. The soups and spicy dumplings were tasty and perfect staters. The Dragon and Phoenix dish was outstanding as was the Mooshi Pork - a delight with an amazing taste. The homemade plum saw superb with the pancakes. The hot tea was one of the best we've tasted. Thanks,... More

I have been eating here for years. Still very, very good to excellent. Great service, fair prices. An old fashioned, stalwart Chinese restaurant. It's as good as anything I get in the City. I think some of the bad reviews here are skewed and unfair.

As people have said here before, they are the only restaurant in the area that serves dim sum...so we come here every one in a while....and we always leave disappointed. Because it isn't so busy, a lot of dishes recirculate through the dining rooms and just aren't served hot. The dim sum aren't spectacular, and the servers mostly seem they... More

We went for dim sum and were surprised at the lack of variety. The food was cold, deep fried with a strange aftertaste. The waiters did not speak English and did not understand our requests. The worst dim sum in the tri state area.

Only place I could find that offered Dim Sum on a Saturday at lunch. Limited offerings and many dishes circulated many times before being sold and were COLD. Food was good but nothing I tried was excellent. An oasis for someone longing for Dim Sum however.

We have visited China Gourmet many times for Dim Sum but usually arrive around noon and the Dim Sum has generally been good. The restaurant advertises that they serve Dim Sum from 11-3. This past weekend we had a couple of errands to run and arrived at China Gourmet at 1:30PM. There were still quite a few tables filled and... More

2nd review for this establishment and this visit was better. Dim Sum is better when the restaurant is crowded so the food turns over and there is more variety. That was the case this visit and it made a difference is the experience. I recommend the calamari, chinese broccoli and thin noodles with veggies. All of these items were not... More

this is our favorite restaurant for good chinese food. we have dined (i'm using that word loosely) many times and are served exactly what we expect- delicious quality food. we have ordered many different items on the menu and have never been dissapointed. while the atmoshpere is "tired", the food more than makes up for it. we frequent different restaurants...
