Small, cozy BYOB

Really quaint, with excellent food and good quick service, not far from the Verizon Hall, perfect dinner before going to see the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Excellent BYOB. We had flatiron steak and arctic char. The char was probably the best I ever had–the waiter said he’d tell the chef, I was the second person that evening to say so. Even better, believe it or not, were the bits of beets that came with it. Oh, my. Again, the best ever. Beefy, earthy, pickled just so.... More

We came here for the Sunday night pre fix menu. We looked at the menu ahead of time to ensure there was something everyone could eat for each course. The ambiance is absolutely stunning. Very small place, probably smaller than most people's dining room. Very intimate, quiet, with low playing music. The hostess was very nice & offered to put... More

This cash only BYOB is very cosy. I counted about 30 seats, so don't expect to walk-in & get a seat. The service was excellent. The food was creative without being over the top. The proportions were proper on all courses, with 2-3 courses you will be satisfied & not stuffed. The room can get quite warm with so many... More

Cute and cozy. Great service. Food was ok - I had a fish that was a little too spicy for me. The menu was good but I guess it increased my expectations. Other people who didn't order what I did seemed to enjoy their meals. They don't accept credit cards.

Throughly enjoyed my visit to this neighbourhood restaurant. Sunday is a fixed price menu of 5 courses (3 of which you have a choice). Each course was a little adventure and really gave us a good idea of what this restaurant was all about. Service was efficient and friendly. Excellent value for the evening especially given it is byob. There... More

First, for those of you you haven't been in this neighborhood of Philadelphia, the parking isn't big a problem as other neighborhoods. Street parking was very easy to find on a Saturday evening. Second, the restaurant is very small (26 seats) so be prepared for a potentially cozy evening. Lastly the food and the service are excellent among the best... More

So excited about returning to Pumpkin! The restaurant is tiny so I wouldn't consider it for a romantic dinner. The staff is friendly and helpful. The menu is small only offering around 5 entrees. Menu highlights: Berkshire pork chop with grilled Napa cabbage and white peaches, grilled shrimp appetizer and pot de creme. Food is very fresh and expertly prepared. the... More

We were in Philadelphia for restaurant week and went to Pumpkin. Not for the first time. The food is exquisite, always consistent and presented like artwork! Ian and Hillary make the perfect team of perfection. No wonder they are rated #4 in Philly. Thank you both. It was a wonderful evening.
