Promoted as using local ingredients with a constantly evolving menu, the limited menu didn't have anything additional other than what is posted on the website (other than that night's substitutions of a Spanish mackerel for the skate, and an almond cake for the claffouti). There was limited evidence of any in-season or local produce in their August menu (i.e. escargots,... More

My husband and I did the 5 course tasting menu on Sunday evening, a pretty good value for $40, especially since you bring your own wine. The server suggested we order both dishes as some courses had 2 choices, and that way to taste everything. Wonderful suggestion! All courses were fresh and tasty. Especially loved the whipped goat's milk cheese... More

My wife and I had the Sunday tasting menu here for the third time in as many times we have visited Philly. We have not been disappointed in the past and were not this time. Each of the five courses was excellent. Beautiful presentation and excellent, unique flavors. Service was exceptional as in our past visits. This is without parallel... More

Pumpkin is a small BYOB with a limited menu. The food is excellent, the presentations were attractive, the staff was attentive, and the seating allowed conversation despite the proximity of the tables. If you take pains to match wine and food, check out the ever-changing menu offerings in advance. If you are a picky eater, same advice. We found the... More

In the tradition of small restaurants with excellent food and accommodating chefs, Pumpkin did not miss the mark. Many complex flavors and textures, as well as a comfortable atmosphere were present. The only negative was the less than attentive waitstaff. I'd go back- as long as I was not in a hurry.

My son loves this place! The menu is very limited, but fresh. We came on a night that didn't have choices that we had hoped for. Everything was still very good. Our favorite...the chilled beet soup. Amazing! And great presentation. Overall, the food was good. We had to eat late and the staff seemed a little tired. So just ok.... More

A tripadvisor find we decided to give this BYOB a go and it did not disappoint. Each dish was created with a combination of flavours that danced on the tongue. Service was excellent and overall added to an enjoyable evening. Tip: It is worth checking the menu ahead of time to ensure you can pick a wine to complement, luckily... More

Pumpkin's a good little restaurant off the beaten path de cuisine in Philly. Food was good, service was a bit eclectic, and it was an overall pleasant experience. Be prepared to sit with your neighbors, though, as the tables are so close you can barely squeeze in between then. BYO is fun - I like bringing my own wine. Cash... More

Unfortunately, this restaurant didn’t impress us. We didn't feel that our food blended in flavors very well and the presentation lacked a little to be desired. They also have a small seasonal menu and we did feel that our food was fresh. My pork was a little fattier than I had expected for the cut. Some positives: friendly service, very... More
