Come for the cheese, stay for lunch!

So DiBruno Bros has been a Philly institution since 1939- gotta be a reason, right? We stopped at the Rittenhouse location early in the morning. We poked around the store. We attended a pre-wedding get together in the restaurant area of Di Bruno Bros. and the food and selection was so good we stopped back another day to picked up dinner in the store. Very large selection of cheeses, prepared foods, fresh foods and desserts. We had crab cakes which were delicious. Everything looked so good we could have picked... More

Absolute gem of a shop if you're looking for cured meats and cheese. They had everything from iberico pork to stichelton cheese, which if you like blue cheese, this will blow it out of the water! The best thing, since the meats are cured and cheese aged properly, you can load up and take it home at room temp! Way... More

on our recent trip to Philadelphia we came across this amazing Deli, they open at 7am everyday, so we came for breakfast everyday, also lunch a couple of times (they have a large upstairs eating area), if it were not for customs restrictions we would have filled our case full of all yummy things

I came here and bought a turkey cob salad which was delicious and a chicken wrap which was equally tasty. It is a great place with lots of choice of delicious fresh food, I would definitely recommend a visit. They serve hot or cold food, has a cafe you can sit down in and they have a takeaway coffee bar,... More

I stumbled on Di Bruno Bros, last Sunday, while looking for an interesting breakfast. What an amazing store! It has a warm old time feel to it and is up to date with wonderful food selections. First, my husband I walked around the store and looked at the mouth-watering displays. The cheese and prepared food were so tempting. I wish... More

This place is Outrageously priced. It makes some of the upscale gourmet markets in Manhattan look cheap. Pretty crazy actually. Most things are pretty good though. I have had delicious Asian rice wrapper rolls, good vegetarian salads, arancini, meatballs, eggplants rolls, hoagies and some of the desserts from the case. Nothing disappointed. It is clean and efficient and you can... More

I have to say that as a Center City resident (and taxpayer) for over 30 years I deserve better than this overpriced place taking up valuable real estate... the prices are ridiculous and even offensive. It is nice to walk in and look (hence the two stars) but everytime I look at the prices, I gasp in shock and more... More

For convenience sake, we have had lunch at Di Brunos at the Comcast Center twice now. Never ever again. There are SO many better options available. The sandwiches always sound delicious and taste really disappointing. Very salty, falling apart messes, skimpy on the fillings- especially the meat- and insanely expensive. We spent more on 2 sandwiches and one slice of... More

This Italian market/cheese-monger/coffee bar/bakery was just around the corner from our hotel, and we had a lovely light breakfast of pastries and cappuccinos. The market itself was amazing with a cheese selection to rival a Parisian fromagerie, where they will happily let you taste their wares to pick the perfect cheese, which in our case was the Point Reyes Blue....
