We spotted this place while walking back to our hotel and popped in to book a table. From the very first moment the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our food was great and we had a lovely evening.

My Dad and I stopped in Philly for the day and a Park Ranger suggest this place. We wanted steak, but it was an Italian place and decided to get a pasta dish and the only steak dish they had on the menu. The steak was not a real steak and was literally so chewy I couldn't chew it anymore... More

Stumbled across LaScalas looking for a respite from heat and hunger. Shown to a wndow booth the bread basket and olive oil / butter / herb combo delivered a yummy first taste. What we ate: 1. Special of the day salad had mixed greens, pears, cranberries, blue cheese, walnuts, and blackened chicken with a honey mustard dressing. Every bite was... More

We happened upon this place last week while we were in Philly-our hotel (Omni) was on Chestnut so it wasn't too far away. The menu was great and the food even better. Service was a little on the slow side but it was nice not rushing to eat like I usually do with kids. The lasagna was fantastic. Mu daughter... More

We decided to try Lascala's after seeing the Liberty Bell on a Saturday afternoon around 3:00 pm on Memorial Day Weekend. Not crowded this time of day, lunch menu served until 4:00 pm. Pizza was great - crust was thin and crispy with a nice taste, pepperoni and sausage toppings were spiced just right and not greasy, sauce very good.... More

Great location, next to the Independence Hall and the Market Street. Followed by great food and service. The Veal Madeira, Veal Parmiggiano and Salmon were yummy. Add the Portobello mushrooms filled with crab paired with a Montepulciano. Lovely! Try also the Creme Brûlée .
