Definitely Enjoy a Cup of Coffee

We just happened to be walking down the street looking for a place for lunch and there was LaScala's. Had a great lunch, roasted beet salad with goat cheese, and veal parmigiana. We ended with coffee and it was one of the best coffees I have had. We went back the next day for lunch since we were... read more

Ok very nice restaurant with a great proximity to the Walnut theater and parking DOUBLE WINNER The menu was diverse and drinks tasty. Service was good and they are conscious of the people heading to a show.

Went to LaScala after viewing Harvey at the Walnut St Theater. The restaurant is within easy walking distance to the theater. The restaurant was not crowded, although we had reservations. We were quickly seated and our waiter promptly came to the table. My wife and I shared the "Long Hots" which was a long hot pepper sliced down the middle... More

The menu looked enticing with a good mix of starters, salads and entrees. Bread arrived quickly accompanied by an oil, butter, balsamic dipping sauce. The service was prompt. My husband went with the lasagna, a decent portion size of standard red sauce layers. It was "good but not great". I like to test new Italian places with veal dishes so... More

My 9yr old picked a winner with LaScala! The staff made you feel at home. We sat in a small booth at the window, which was a great place to people watch. The food was excellent. My daughter had a plain pizza and I enjoyed the salmon.

Nice little Italian restaurant in center city Philadelphia. We have not made reserves on either occasion but was always seated promptly. Service is always prompt at first but right after our salads it slowed down a lot. We had to grab our waiters attention on more than one occasion. During one of these as we ordering one gentleman from the... More

Wow! The margarita pizza was the best ever. The olive oil dip for the bread was delicious. Beet, goat cheese, walnut salad was perfect. Price was very reasonable considering location, service and quality. Recommend.

My peers and I stopped in at Lascala's recently for lunch and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I ordered a salad topped with salmon - and it was huge! They included a generous portion of salmon, much more than I expected. Then again, seeing the lunch portion for my peers, this made sense. This is a nice place to grab... More

Made reservations online for a family visit on Saturday evening and were seated a few minutes early. The service and food were outstanding and portions very generous. Would definitely recommend and return the next time we visit Philadelphia.
