Very Good Lunch

We were meeting a group for lunch and got there really early. They were so nice and accomodating. Service was good, food was good, staff was friendly and they even offer free parking in the lot above their building. The crab cake was good, but if you are used to eastern shore crab cakes, I would... read more

My two teenagers and I tried La Scala, based on a recommendation by a native Philadelphian. We were extremely disappointed in the food and service. The host refused to let us order from the early bird/happy hour menu even though we were there at 5;30 because there were 3 of us. According to him, only 2 people could order from... More

Food good. Waitress good. Nice place. When I say good I mean good. God created the world and it was good. Would surely eat there again. Pictures of WW2 era Marines on the wall made me feel at home. Waitress charged my phone for me. Nice place.

Was in Philly for a few days and visited this Italian as it was short walk from hotel. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Also recommended a nice local beer to have with my dinner. Calamari to start was excellent and the papardelle for main was very nice also. Would go back.

We were a party of 6 celebrating a birthday. I believe we had just about everything on the dinner menu and sampled the same. Everything was very well cooked, good and tasty!

Second rate Italian which may appeal to American taste, or at leasr portion sizes- vast chunks of second rate food, desserts the size of cakes and the coffee is weak, so disappointing.

The pappadelle sausage bolognese was phenomenal. Atmosphere was mediocre and the lighting was somewhat dark. The service meets expectations but nothing extraordinary. The cost was higher than average but the food was worth it. I would go back for the food again.

One of the few restaurants I saw in the city centre where you could sit outside, enjoy a fabulous meal and people watch. The food was great, I would recommend the seafood pasta, the chicken parm looked great as well. The waitress was one of the best I have ever experienced.
