Inventive and creative menu. I had minced short rib ravioli with caramelized onions and balsamic that was wonderful. My sister, less adventurous, ordered the lasagna and said it was the comfort food she was seeking for the night. Limited but nicely curated wine list. I get the feeling the Philly is a beer town, not for wine enthusiasts. At most... More

For lunch or dinner - A great find. Stop in at night for a night cap and some appetizers. Never had a bad meal here..

When we finished our visit of the historic part of Philadelphia, we decided to eat in this restaurant. First, we did not expect that it would be so classy. Anyhow, we decided to enter and order food. Since it was Italian, I decided to go for the pizza instead of the pasta. You made your own pizza and can choose... More

I've been going here for the past 3 years and I swear by LaScala's! The staff is friendly and always provides great service. Perfect for family dinners or dates. The food is always fantastic. Their pasta, fish, and pizza is always delicious. Great drinks and in a cool part of the city. The decor inside also adds to the meal!

The food's pretty good, as is the wine. But we chose this restaurant for the location. We even nabbed a table to watch the 4th of July parade. The other time we dined while on our vacation, we wanted a place we could dine outside, and people-watch. This is a perfect location. A++++

We were meeting a group for lunch and got there really early. They were so nice and accomodating. Service was good, food was good, staff was friendly and they even offer free parking in the lot above their building. The crab cake was good, but if you are used to eastern shore crab cakes, I would stick to the Italian... More

My two teenagers and I tried La Scala, based on a recommendation by a native Philadelphian. We were extremely disappointed in the food and service. The host refused to let us order from the early bird/happy hour menu even though we were there at 5;30 because there were 3 of us. According to him, only 2 people could order from... More

Food good. Waitress good. Nice place. When I say good I mean good. God created the world and it was good. Would surely eat there again. Pictures of WW2 era Marines on the wall made me feel at home. Waitress charged my phone for me. Nice place.
