Called into La Scala's for dinner during our stay in Philadelphia and had a most enjoyable meal. A relaxing atmosphere and attentive waiting staff added to the experience. The pasta was great with helpings we could not finish. Cost was reasonable and more than happy to recommend this eaterie.

We tried to order pasta with salmon for lunch. This was listed in the entrée list as salmon served with pasta, but when we asked for whole meal pasta, no pasta was included; they wanted $7 plus $2 for whole meal pasta extra to $17. We pointed to the menu listing all below entrées with pasta and the waiter shrugged... More

We spotted this place while walking back to our hotel and popped in to book a table. From the very first moment the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our food was great and we had a lovely evening.

My Dad and I stopped in Philly for the day and a Park Ranger suggest this place. We wanted steak, but it was an Italian place and decided to get a pasta dish and the only steak dish they had on the menu. The steak was not a real steak and was literally so chewy I couldn't chew it anymore... More

Stumbled across LaScalas looking for a respite from heat and hunger. Shown to a wndow booth the bread basket and olive oil / butter / herb combo delivered a yummy first taste. What we ate: 1. Special of the day salad had mixed greens, pears, cranberries, blue cheese, walnuts, and blackened chicken with a honey mustard dressing. Every bite was... More
