Beautiful atmosphere

We celebrated my parents' 50th anniversary at XIX. The team helped to make it a special event for a small party of seven. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful.

XIX is a great lunch spot. For $22 you get a main course plus a visit to the buffet for appetizers and desert, and they even through in a beverage. The space is beautiful and the servers are generally good. This is a real bargain and great fun.

After a show at the Academy of Music, stopped for dinner with family members. Menu looked OK, typical center city Philly extremely high prices. Service was average, room was less than half full at 9:00pm. Had decent cocktails, appetizers of oysters, crab cocktail, crab cake, & arugala salad were fair, but expensive (oysters 6 $18.00). Best entree was Lamb chops... More

I really wanted to like the place. The decor was nice and the menu looked appealing. We had a reservation at 7:45 with tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld at 9:30 next door. Despite telling the waiter that as we were seated and ordering immediately, it took about 10 minutes to even get drinks, over 30 minutes to get 6 raw... More

At the top of the Hyatt on Broad Street, the views were impressive, adding to the experience. The food was excellent, the wine list exhaustive, and the service was in keeping with a top-notch restaurant.

It is somewhat unusual to find a view restaurant - especially in a hotel - that has food worthy of the view. XIX certainly does. It has a wide selection of locally sourced food - including local oysters. We had paella, scallops and braised veal shoulder. All excellent and the house salad - the XIX is excellent. Minor quibbles -... More

I would give this a five star for happy hour location and three stars for food so I took the average and gave it four stars. The view from the bar is excellent. Make sure you go to the balcony and take pictures. The food was just average and overpriced. Skip the meal and get a drink. Cheers!

Top floor of Hyatt at the Bellevue... very good service... wide variety of choices at breakfast buffet... continental breakfast would have been sufficient but adding American option allowed for omelette with choice of fixings, bacon, sausages, potatoes. Nice!

We visited XIX for a group New Years Eve dinner, based on a couple of good experiences over the past few years. Alas - not this time. Our server, Max, was on top of things. Very friendly and efficient - but the kitchen let him down. We had a 9:30 seating and were served our main course at 11:54. Very... More

Had a awesome New Years Evening drink here with my boo. It was late so it wasn't crowded. The view of the city at night was amazing. The fireplace and the ambiance was heavenly. Daniel is a great bartender. Very attentive.
