Fantastic tapas, superb service

Had the Chef's tasting menu at Tinto - really excellent overall. Food was as good as the best tapas spots in Spain, and the wine list was superb. Really worth a visit!

I ate at the bar and it was a totally enjoyable experience. Wonderful sangria along with a very nice assertion of tapas. The duck confit, short ribs, octopus and scallops were just wonderful and I would order again. Turns out these are the favorites of the bar tender, which I discovered after I ordered and I know why! Highly recommend.... More

We selected this restaurant with no idea what the cuisine of the Basque region was like. However, as fans of Food Network and Iron Chef Jose Garces, we felt safe trying something new. Our party of four opted for the high end tasting menu with paired wines. It was a wonderful introduction to the cuisine of the Basque region of... More

My wife and I ate here for our anniversary and enjoyed everything about this place. With the help of our server David C we went with the chefs tasting with the wine pairing. What an awesome experience, delicious food, great wine and perfect service. There is nothing wrong with Tinto, we will return.

I don't like tapas and I'm not a big fan of Spanish food. But I cannot get enough of Tinto. I have been about a half dozen times and it never gets old and never disappoints. The best way to go is definitely to order the tasting menu and let the chef decide what to bring. With a party of... More

Normally, you expect small portions at a tapas restaurant--but this restaurant is taking this to the extreme. Here's a clue about how they price their menu items. Take a wholesale price for an items, for example, rack of lamb, at about $15/lb. Double this to produce a retail price ($30), serve no more than 1/6 of a pound ($5 of... More

I dined here with 4 friends last Saturday night during a snowstorm. The hostess was very welcoming and happy to take our coats and do what she could to make us comfortable. The varied Tapas menu has a great variety of foods that are interesting and fresh. We all shared a variety of food and all were great, especially the... More

Let's just say this food has you not wanting to swallow it tastes that good in your mouth! Iron Chef Jose Garces's food will have you drooling from this Spanish tapas restaurant. Our favorite go to items to order: a mixto of cheese (make sure idiazabal is one) served with honey, chili powder and quince paste, the best dressed salad... More

We have tried a bunch of Jose Garces' restaurants. I would say that Tinto is very good, but is not at the Amada level, in my opinion. We had the crab canapes, short rib bocadillos, chicken brochettes, and the wild mushrooms. The mushrooms were very good. The other dishes were very good, but not outstanding. Service was good. Restaurant was... More

You can tell by former reviews that the tapas is very good here. Be prepared to spend more than you expected, as ordering by small plates can add up quickly. We ordered the Deluxe Chefs Tasting, which was $75.00 per person, without beverages. So, what did we get for our $150.00 for two? Here is the list, with a la... More
