Wow....what a great bar. We totally came about this by chance as it was located a few blocks away from our hotel on Broad St South. Great beers, great wings, possibly the best burger in town and a great barman........Zak you rocked!! A very mixed clientele but definitely worth a visit if your in town! So good we several visits... Stopped by late on a Friday afternoon. Vey cool place. Both a great culinary experience and an authentic Philly local for fans of bars with character. The jerk chicken sandwich was to-die-for with a mix of flavors never before experienced. The late afternoon crowd was totally diverse with hipsters, oldsters, groups of college students, plain ordinarys, and poser tourists like... More

4 of us had dinner here after seeing a recommendation in a guide book. I can confirm that this is a really friendly pub, with a good range of beers and the food is lovely and there's lots of it. Great value for money and nice staff too. Definitely worth going to.

The appetizer we started with was the Charcuterie, a bit pricey for the small portion, but it was really really good. The burgers were great. With blue cheese, caramelized onions and bacon, how can you go wrong. But the fries were even better, a nice blend of regular and sweet potato fries. The BBQ sandwich was excellent, but the cajaun... We only had to wait 10 minutes on Sunday night for a table for 8--a bit tight, but it worked. Food and drink ranged from okay (my fries were rather greasy) to awesome (specialty alcoholic drink--forgot the name but it had cucumber juice) My brother and his girlfriend rhapsodized over their mac and cheese. Husband was not happy with his... More

Amazing burger and drinks at this place. We visited and this was one of the best burgers I have ever had! Drinks were also unique and refreshing. Great atmosphere and ambiance. We came for lunch and highly recommend it!

Great spot if you want some white chili, a great burger and some beer. Old school cocktails too. Great spot with friends or casual date with girlfriend.

We used to live in Philly and were back in town visiting. We couldn't wait to have lunch at the Good Dog. My husband had the good dog burger which is stuffed with blue cheese Medium well. The burger was very juicy and cooked medium instead of medium well. The fries are a combination of sweet potato fries and regular... More

Stopped into Good Dog for dinner during a recent bar and restaurant tour of the city. This place is bigger than you'd think and has three floors, the top one being more of a hangout with pool tables and a dart board. Our party of 5 was seated on the second floor after a short 10 minute wait or so,... More

We visited this venue as it was recommended on 'Diners, Drive ins....' and we were not disappointed. The choice of ale was pretty amazing (my husband is a bit ale drinker) and the food was really good too. We had a slight wait as its so popular but worth it.
