Food was tasty especially the grilled cheese. Plenty of beers to choose from. We had a very nice table upstairs by the window. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

We had dinner here late on a Friday, and although it was pretty busy, with people getting seated well after we arrived at 9:00 PM, I can't understand the attraction. We didn't have a reservation so walked up to the 3rd floor to wait in an empty room where people just stood, but then went down to the 2nd floor... More

Went there tonight. Food nothing to talk about. I had fish tacos with a salad....two tacos of grouper which was bland and a tomato concoction on them that had no flavor - salad was romaine and that was about it - salad certainly not as described on their menu as having red onion, avocado, jalapeno etc etc etc - tacos... I went to Good Dog with a friend in September and it was out of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. Our server Sheri was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the food and beer that we had there. The only complaint I would have is that the restaurant is a little dark, and that there are only... More

The Good a Dog is a nice place for really good comfort food. The folks there are friendly and the food is a treat. We had the Mac and Cheese and the burgers --- both very good. The blueberry corn bread is a must try. For a pub you can't go wrong here.

If you are in downtown Philly (Rittenhouse Sqare) and like a casual environment with surprisingly awesome food, a great craft beer selection and lots of personality, Good Dog is the place. On first blush you'd think this is a bar with typically average bar food. But the food, in fact, is well beyond average. Here's what we had: Grilled baby... More

My family had a great meal. The good dog burger was huge and accompanied by a giant portion of regular and sweet potato fries. I shared with my spouse who only ordered a salad and we had plenty. Waiter was friendly and pleasantly accommodated my kids requests to omit the smoked apples on the grilled cheese and also put the... More

We just sort of happened into The Good Dog. Entering the place feels like you're coming into a dive bar. But you're in for a surprise. As with many places in Philadelphia, The Good Dog offers a substantial beer list. But their speciality cocktails are also interesting and well made. Moreover, the food is above average. The four of us... More

Great atmosphere, great location, AMAZING sweet potato fries. Seriously the best. I saw this place on the Food Network and had to check it out myself and it didn't disappoint.

We tried to find a place for dinner around 10:30. Walked into another local place down the road and was told they aren't serving food anymore. The employee (which I trust locals more than tourists) recommended The Good Dog. We walked over and was welcomed with open arms. The staff was great. The clientele was all over the board, which...
