One of my Favorite Spots.....Tony Luke's South Philly

We go to Tony Luke's a lot, and they never disappoint. My personal fave is the Roast Beef as it is tender, very flavorful and their rolls are amazing to the pallette. We also enjoy the Cheesesteaks, Roast Pork and Burger Italiano Sandwiches. They have many other items, but above mentioned are our... read more

If you are in Philly, or just passing nearby, stop here. Don't get the cheesesteak (it is just ok). Get the roast pork sandwich with the sharp provolone and the garlic broccoli rabe. It is one of the best sandwiches on earth. Ok, that is all...

Tony Lukes has a good cheesesteak, but on the particular day I went, Pat's took the crown for their fresh bread. Tony Lukes was okay too, and still a definite must try when in Philly. I heard that Tony Lukes was better than Pat's and had to go there and try them out even if it meant missing my flight... More

This place hasn't been the same since the sports bar closed up a few years ago. The quality of the steaks has gone way done hill. This place is now very comercial and way over rated. Its become like another Pats or Genos. This isn't true Philly representation anymore. People from Philly don't go to these places because we know... More

I always loved Tony Lukes sandwiches. My favorite is Chicken with Broccoli Rabe. I decided for my sons 8th Birthday party to have them cater with some sandwich trays. Not only were they early but they delivered it with everything I needed. Napkins, plates, plastic utensils. Then they also put all the condiments on the side. Each little sandwich was... More

I have been going here for years passing through on business trips to DC. It is right off 95 on the Oregon ave exit and next to a gas station. No bathroom inside so wash hands in advance. In my opinion the pork with broccoli rabe is the best option. Moist and spicy, the sharp cheese costs extra but 100%... More

In the battle between Pat's and Geno's the winner is Tony Luke's. Great roll, lots of quality meat, overall the best. We stop here whenever we get the opportunity.

Stopped here to try Tony Luke's cheesesteak, and we were very impressed! Nice, thick, juicy, and tasty meat. Also got the chicken cutlet which was juicy as well as being seasoned perfectly. Great comfort food, and they have much better customer service than other cheesesteak joints in Philly in my opinion. Must try!

This place is rockin on Saturday afternoons but the food is so good. The steak itself is the best Ive ever had. Practically no fat or connective tissue. Just high quality, flavorful meat. Took two for the road since they were so good!

Best Philly Cheese Steak winner is Tony Luke's. However, this rating is only for the Tony Luke's in Philly on Oregon. Other Tony Luke locations are just not as good. Don't limit yourself to only the steak sandwich - we also enjoy the pork, chicken cutlet and broccoli rabe sandwiches.
