Interesting and tasty experience...

This was my first and most likely my last visit to Tony Luke's. It's definitely part of the Philly culture and my family enjoyed the food. I ordered an Italian Beef with sweet peppers and found it okay. Being from the midwest and a huge Portillos fan, this didn't quite reach that level for me... read more

While most people argue between the other two places, Tony Lukes is the only place my husband and I wish to go when searching for a great cheesesteak!

I don't think its the third best sandwich in America or whatever the ad says. true, he second half was a little better the next day. you should try it once but the cheese steak is better

The best cheesesteak whether or not it's the original. The somewhat shady neighborhood and less than elegant dining area only add to the experience. You will meet all kinds of people united by a love of good food. I live in NYC and come here just for the cheesesteak - provolone and long and hot please!

Pat's and Geno's are for tourists. Tony Luke's is the best! Bread is amazing and the atmosphere is authentic South Philly.

This was my very first and much anticipated cheesesteak and it was awesome. I highly recommend the cheesesteak with whiz and onions. The cheese whiz is much more flavorful than the provolone, which my husband ordered. French fries are tasty and I loved the birch beer soda to wash it all down.

I'm glad I came to try this because no where else can you really get a sense of Philadelphians and their food. It may not be the healthiest spot, but there are a lot of options and the people watching is part of the experience. Being from d.c., I found folks are friendly, blue collar, and authentically themselves here. I... More

It was 6 Am ( First client) so I didn't take the famous Cheesesteaks (2 years ago I taste it – a great & wonderfully porky) that time I ate a grand sandwich in a fresh bread – inside an omelet with cheddar, sausage and slice of ham- Yummy…Delicious

This a must stop every trip to or through Philly! The sandwiches never disappoint and the staff is amazing! They even boxed up our sandwiches for travel so that they would not be soggy when we got home : ) Pat' s and Geno' s have nothing on Tony!
