Small, cramped and good.

A first visit looking for Mexican. Building your own guacamole was a new and good experience. The short ribs were excellent and well plated. We also had the shrimp salad, equally good. The baked apple was a fine dessert. The coffee, good but over-priced. Monica provided caring service. We'll... read more

I have been going to Xochitl for a long time. I have a love hate relationship with this place. Drinks are great. One of the best Margaritas in the city. Food is always good. My problem with the place is that they have so many rules. You cannot order anything special from the menu. They have vegetable enchiladas, however you... More

Sit at the bar and have a perfectly made margarita. Then order a dish from each category. The bartender will guide you based on your preferences and hunger level. I managed to find 3 vegetarian bites that made up a delicious yet inexpensive meal.

I have always wondered why Mexican/Latin cuisine never seems to have a gourmet element. The flavors are perfect for more upscale fare, but most people expect a taco plate or fajitas when they get Mexican. Xochitl is the place I've been looking for these past years. My wife and I went as part of the Restaurant Week. The menu was... More

The food was fantastic. We chose this restaurant because we saw a special on Fox 29 news that highlighted the customized to order guacamole. It was the best that I ever had. I shared the taco plate for two with my date and some fried plantains. The service on the other hand was not very good. We had a round... More

Food here is great, portion size is spot-on and service is friendly (almost too much so, I felt a bit stalked, but in a food way!) My only negative is the menu is a bit limited, but it helps you focus on which road you want to go down (ceviche, tacos or larger meals). If know Mexican and love Mexican... More

We were a group of six and were seated in the basement. The basement smells very musty. The service was very poor and the food did not make up for the poor service. We asked for hot sauce and they gave us a bowl of hot sauce and charged us for it. The tacos did not come with anything. I... More

We ate there pre-theater. We found the portions large - the ceviche appetizer (which we had) and the guacamole (we saw at another table) could easily serve 4 people. The ceviche was quite good. My wife and I shared the Molcajete - a hot lava bowl with chicken, brisket, carnitas, cheese and chorizo in a red sauce served with corn... More

Started our dinner with customized guacamole (they give you a card and you check off what you want added to it) and tasty margaritas. I had the brisket tacos, they were very good. My brother ordered the chicken that takes 3 days to prepare. I am not huge fan of chicken on the bone but it was amazing!!!

We came here on a Sunday night with a Living Social deal. First, there was a ton of food! They started us off with Guacamole, there was a card on the table where you could customize the guacamole to your likeness, it was really cool and there are a ton of options. We each got to pick an appetizer your... More
