Old town Philadelphia is a great place to pass the day. Old City Coffee is on the perimeter of the historical neighborhood, very close to the historical sites. We had fantastic milkshakes and good customer service the day we stopped in. The location, selection, and service make this a stop for a snack or cup of coffee.

The place has a great roaster-feel to it and they have great coffee. If you peak in the back you can find big sacks of South American coffee. You watch the whole operation, and the coffee comes steaming hot. I recommend the visit. I'm coming back.

Little hole in the wall with so much to offer! Freshly roasted coffee, amazingly fresh and well toasted bagels (even had an unexpected salt crunch on the corners!) with delicious spreads, locally made yogurts, and scones, muffins, salads and more to make your mouth drool with delight. Service was about an 8 out of 10 - was a little curt... More

For all the hype that this is the home of real coffee, the experience is underwhelming. Coffee was ok, nothing more, cafe itself at Church St is sterile, like at the bus depot. Just a coffee shop for local workers.

The iced coffee I had was pretty good. The hot coffee I had was far too dark. When I asked for a medium roast I was told they only do 1 style of coffee per day. Seems strange for how busy they were.

Anyone with the slightest interest in beans, brewing and espresso must try out this place. Kind of rough style but great taste. I tried the 6 bean espresso (single) which was superb – to bad I didn't order a dubble or even triple....

I was in Philly for 3 days and found this gourmet coffee gem in the Reading Terminal Mkt the first day. I'm a self-proclaimed coffee snob because I require no sugar, syrup or "mask" to enjoy my coffee. I drink it strait and strong. I had the "Old City Blend" in the mornings. It's aroma was amazing and the bean... More

Inside the Reading Terminal Market. Grind their own coffee-of-the-day and brew tea from fresh, loose tea. Both were delicious.

I wanted a latte, at a less than full temp, with room at the top for extra cold milk. I got a latte of sorts, boiling hot, filled to the top. I didn't love the taste of the latte. It wasn't as creamy as a typical latte, but had a smoky, almost toasted flavor to the coffee. I dumped a... More

if you like coffee and being in a social place go to Old City Coffee in Reading Terminal Philadelphia. The coffee is excellent and the location is special. This is a must when in Philadelphia's Reading Terminal!
