Best Gelato Ever!

The best Gelato place that I have visited between Philadelphia in DC. The Gelato is awesome! So creamy and the flavors are great! My absolute fave is Tiramisu. However, I have tried several others including creme brulee, vanilla, chocolate chip, hazelnut, peach and so many more. I love this spot... read more

I had bookmarked this years ago when I read about it in a magazine and stumbled upon it while visiting the Mütter Museum. The gelato here really is fantastic and they have a wide variety of flavors to choose from (normal and bizarre ones alike). The only downside is that the gelato is fairly expensive, but this is a treat... More

I was told this was "world famous" gelato, but I have no clue how it got that reputation. Tasted like completely average gelato for twice the price of any other location.

We stopped in after dinner and the place was packed. I was originally a little disappointed in the sizes and prices; however, after getting a medium with 3 separate flavors, I was stuffed afterwards and the price was fair (little high but not unreasonable for a downtown area). Great place to stop for an after dinner treat on a warm/muggy... More

Yummy gelato-- had the dark chocolate and a small was big enough. Delicious. Would like to try all the flavors.

I have been here a few times. I think the product has been diluted. It use to be very good, now it's not. The flavors are muted compared to other places.

Capogiro is " crazy good" and ranks as my best gelato every anywhere including Italy. I have traveled several time to Italy and enjoying gelato every day of my visits and have never found gelato as good as Capogiro. Flavors cover the standards but have special favors not available elsewhere. Try the insanely dark chocolate!

My family and I have visited here a few times and though the gelato is good it doesn't compare to what we get in Italy. I think that's because the quality and taste of the ingredients especially the milk and fruits is so much better in Italy and because of this difference in taste it's hard to replicate it in... When I saw the accolade saying this place had the best gelato I was sure it was some kind of gimmick. Low and behold, the gelato is actually amazing. I tried to Amish cream base and the peach and they were amazing. Prices are high and I thought the employee that served me had attitude but at the end of... More

It's hard to find good gelato outside of Italy. If you're looking for some in Philadelphia, you really should stop here.
