Walked in off the Street, Pleasantly Surprised

Our usual noodlehouse was packed at lunch so we walked up the street saw this place pretty empty so said what the hey. Was pretty darn good. The fried dumplings were very good and the shirmp balls quite tasty. My main course was a lunch combo of hunan chicken, came with fried rice wonton soup and... read more

A quick trip to Chinatown and my husband decided he and I should give this a try. It was done in less than five minutes and quick service should be a plus if the food is good. This, however, was not. The beef with broccoli - I think it was beef - was shaky at best but my husband's General... More

Went with another couple who spoke very highly of the restaurant. Food was right out of the 50's. Down to the duck sauce and greasy fried wonton sticks. Selections were soup(wonton or egg drop) main dish and rice(white or fried) pinapple for dessert. Main dishes were breaded, greasy, cloyingly sweet. Food I hadn't eaten since I was a kid.

American portion, as lots of people will say? I say, it is bigger than that. Taste wise, it was good but missing something, as I would say. The portion size deserves an extra star.

We ate here in early February for the second time. My favorite main dish is the pineapple coconut chicken dish. I prefer the wonton soup over the egg drop (nice big wontons with good filling). We also ordered hot and spicy hunan wings and were not disappointed. All and all a good meal with plenty to take back to our... More

Not there anymore. It is now a Noodle House and the food is good for the price, but there are better Resturants in the area.

We have been here multiple times. Our oldest is from China and lived there until 12 and she says this is the closest to what she had growing up as anywhere we have been. Granted they have Americanized dishes but some pretty close to spot in dishes as well. We have had noodle dishes, soups, hand drawn and shaved. All... More

This place is an institution in China town. Great food, prices and staff. The place never disappoints.

I would say this restaurant has more of the americanized chinese food along with the more authentic...which is what we were looking for. I'm not as adventurous as my husband is with trying new things. I got the Happy something dish with lobster, shrimp, scallops, chicken and beef with chinese veggies in a brown sauce; it was delicious! This dish... More
