I was expecting a wow factor and was disappointed. The cheesesteaks back home out do this place on a bad day. The meat was completely unseasoned.

We decided to do a taste test between Gino's and the place across the street. Gino's bread is chewy and the meat is not quite flavorful. Still not bad though.

This is a well known Cheese Steak place in Philly. (One of many, all of which claim to be the best or the first or something else.) There is lot's of fun rivalry between the various Cheese Steak places in town. The food is good. This is a popular place, so, expect a long line of people down the sidewalk... More

Was eager to try authentic cheese steak from Philly but this was awful. $9.50 gets you dried out "steak". very small portion. Bread wan't fresh Meat terrible. Pats just as bad. Genos has friendlier staff.

My friends and I were determined to visit Geno's and Pat's and do a taste test comparing the two cheese steaks. I did not like Geno's at all - no taste whatsoever. Pat's was a little better, but the next time I go to Philly, I will still be in search of a delicious cheese steak. Believe me, it's at... More

If you're in search of a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich...keep on going...Other than an overdone reputation (no idea how that happened) this isn't it. More like Carni food from one of those stands, this serves dry meat shavings with paper thin cheese or a squirt of cheese wizz, and some tired old grilled onions .

The food was ok.. But, everyone talked about getting a Geno's Cheese steak... I had better in the deli right down the street from my hotel... Now worth the drive in traffic.

I went to Philadelphia excited to try all the famous Philly Cheese Places. My first stop was Geno's Steaks. I went in the evening and it was not to busy. I ordered the original cheese steak and fries. The Cheese steak was decent, the meat had little flavor, and the roll was nothing spectacular. The fries were ok, I've had... More

Undoubtedly the worst cheese steak I've ever had. Meat was dry, over cooked, tasteless. The gumbas behind the counter are old miserable wanna be soup Nazis. Loose the attitude ladies and learn how to cook a cheese steak.

Be sure you know how to order before going and definitely get the wiz. Not much seating and a long wait, but well worth the deiliciousness.
