Pretty Good

I was with someone who had never been to Philly before, so we decided to have her cheesesteak experience here. The food is pretty good and basic. I've had juicier cheesesteaks and some with more vegetables, but this hit the spot. If you're looking to have that cheesesteak experience in Philly, this... read more

Came here with my Fiance. We tried Pat's and Geno's. We thought Geno's was better. The Cheesesteak overall was better with the roll and steak. The staff was friendly to us. I would definitely recommend trying it.

We stopped here at the end of the evening to culminate my best friends bachelor party. We took a cab and I would advise anyone else to do the same at this late hour. It was about 1:30 am and there was still a pretty sizeable crowd. We didnt wait long and my one friend lives in the area so... More

I came to Philly all reved up for Cheesesteaks. I've even been practicing ordering- One American With. See? I've sent a long time looking forward to standing in this line! Rather disappointed here. Expensive. Outside seating only with a lot of cars as seating is all on the side of the road and now my cheesesteak tastes like exhaust. I... More

An unexpected stop after a weekend getaway landed us in Philly. Having only eaten Pat's in high school and neither one of us ever having Geno's we did what everyone should do...try one of each and compare the rivals! We both agreed Geno's had the better of the two, but by no means would we say not to at least... More

Great sandwich. We liked it better than rival Pat's. We found the major difference is that Geno's does not chop the road beef

I've made a huge number of trips to Philadelphia over the past 20 years and never had a cheesesteak til this one. Actually, had three of them between yesterday and today: Geno's in South Philly, Sonny's in center city and at the cafeteria at the Franklin Institute. Of the three, the Franklin Institute was the best, then Sonny's, with Geno's... More

You have to experience the ordering process, the neighborhood, the great sandwich. Must have cash -- they don't take any other form of payment.

9.50 for a cheese steak. 4.00 for a cup of fries. I know this is the east coast and things cost more. But you are only paying for a name. The place looks great with black, white, and orange decor. The decor matches the local hockey team colors. As to the food. The steak was thick cut and parts of... More
