Experience one of the many" tastes" of philly

Good spot! Sandwich is tasty and a true taste of philly. People watching here is almost a floor show. Sandwich and soft drink cost about $12, but I , and many men raised on these steaks, can ,and will, eat more. Parking is usually a challenge ,but a little patience and drive around usually pays... read more

Geno's long lines move smoothly -- order the right way, Steak, Whiz with! Our daughter had us head over to the Garage, her favorite grunge bar right across the street. They let you take your cheesesteak in even though they have a tofu cheesesteak stand inside. Love Geno's -- and all the police badges from around the country. So fun,... More

Nothing but a tourist trap, way too expensive for fatty meat and bad service. There are a thousand places better than this one. Try Steves Prince of Steaks.

We had a gift certificate and wanted to try because we've had Pats across the street we needed to try Geno's. They were about the same. They are both pricey and only accept cash. Honestly if the line is long at one place run to the other - cause they taste the same!

I walked about 4 miles (2 miles each direction) to try these cheesesteaks and it was well worth it. The bread is phenomenal. I got mine "American, without" and loved it. If I return to Philadelphia, I'll return to Geno's for sure.

Although I had read some ok reviews about this place, I just HAD to go and see for myself! It's one of those things! The food was good but the most important is the atmosphere and the fact that everyone is standing in a line to hand their cash over to them since they DO NOT accept anything else!,,go there... More

Genos have the better beef. It's sliced not shredded like Pats. Bread is not as soft as Pats but I prefer that. The onions are not as moist as Pats but I like that. The staff is not as nice as Pats but I don't care because I'm nit there to talk to them. Just there to eat!

As a Philadelphian, I take my cheesesteak seriously (as most Philadelphians do). I came here with two of my friends, and as most people eat here will try to compare who has the best cheesesteak between geno's and pat's. Though there are many steak shops, these two have always made headlines. Geno's steaks are thinly sliced, juicy, and flavorful, the... More

We visited Geno's on our last day in Philly before heading home to Canada. Yummy! The cheesesteak was pretty big but it was gone quick. Service was great and very quick. Very efficient.
