We did a taste test between Geno's and Pat's. We ordered wiz witout (cheez wiz without onions). It's $10 for a cheese steak because they can charge that much. We thought Geno's steak was much better, less fatty, and tasted better than Pat's. Just know that there are Pat's faithful who won't go across the street for Geno's ever, and... More

I don't see anything special about the cheese steaks here. Lines are long and food is expensive and it needed salt. The location at night is apparently the time to go but careful of the neighborhood!!!

We tried the Geno's Classic Philly Cheesesteak and it was really Good! There was always a long line when we get here but cashiers and servers are fast and quic enough to get the turnover of foot traffic done. We got our meals in less than 15 minutes. We took this as to go item for our trip back home... More

Not much I can say that hasn't already been said. The rivalry with Pat's is continual. No trip to Philadelphia is complete without stopping here to taste Geno's and Pat's sandwiches. I prefer Pat's, my wife prefers Geno's. Neither accepts credit cards, so ensure you have cash.

Have had a good cheesesteak there before but today was just average. Watery cheese whiz, dry roll today. Line was enormous on a beautiful Saturday. This is a must stop on a Philly cheesesteak tour but seemed like it was living on its past today.

What can you say? It's Geno's! The cheesesteak (one whiz with) was good. The cheese fries were even better. We were there on a rainy Tuesday afternoon, which meant no line and no waiting. That truly made it worth the trip.

So the famous Philly cheese steak craze... well I finally made my way up to Philly and decided I'd stop in to Genos to see what the fuss was about. Folks I've talked to say Genos is one of many good cheese steak places to try. My first time was pretty decent I guess... it was good... I really wanna... More

I will start by saying that we ate at both establishments for lunch that day there were 3 of us and we ordered 1 sandwich at each place with fries and split it. Geno's was good, the bread and onions are what made this sandwich great. But if you could combine the sandwich from the two it would be amazing.
