My friends and I were determined to visit Geno's and Pat's and do a taste test comparing the two cheese steaks. I did not like Geno's at all - no taste whatsoever. Pat's was a little better, but the next time I go to Philly, I will still be in search of a delicious cheese steak. Believe me, it's at... More

If you're in search of a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich...keep on going...Other than an overdone reputation (no idea how that happened) this isn't it. More like Carni food from one of those stands, this serves dry meat shavings with paper thin cheese or a squirt of cheese wizz, and some tired old grilled onions .

The food was ok.. But, everyone talked about getting a Geno's Cheese steak... I had better in the deli right down the street from my hotel... Now worth the drive in traffic.

I went to Philadelphia excited to try all the famous Philly Cheese Places. My first stop was Geno's Steaks. I went in the evening and it was not to busy. I ordered the original cheese steak and fries. The Cheese steak was decent, the meat had little flavor, and the roll was nothing spectacular. The fries were ok, I've had... More

Undoubtedly the worst cheese steak I've ever had. Meat was dry, over cooked, tasteless. The gumbas behind the counter are old miserable wanna be soup Nazis. Loose the attitude ladies and learn how to cook a cheese steak.

Be sure you know how to order before going and definitely get the wiz. Not much seating and a long wait, but well worth the deiliciousness.

Other than the food (you can go wrong with meat, cheese and bread!), which is delicious the vibrant neighbourhood is one of the best reasons to visit. The neon clad Geno's Steaks has it's outside walls and seating area's clad with pictures of the area from the past and services badges from around the states. A nice place to sit... More

This is one of the two iconic Philadelphia Cheesesteak restaurants - you should try to visit at least one for the authentic Philly cheesesteak experience while in the area. That said, while the food is quite good, the line is always so long and they are always in so much of a hurry, that I just can't bear to give... More

We wanted to come to Philly to taste the Legendary CheeseSteaks! Pat's and Gino's where on everyones mind so we wanted to test it ourselves. We tasted 5 different cheesesteaks and they were all different but non of them bad ;-) But the taste per person is different so everybody has is own favorite at the end of the tour.

This was excellent. First time having an original philly!!! It tasted like heaven. A little pricey but we'll worth it. I went back 3 times!!! Wow
