Really good cheese steak, super friendly staff, would eat again.

Great cheese steak, super friendly and helpful staff. Wish I had bought two! Was a little skittish after the surly staff at Pat's, no need the staff was nice and seemed happy to have us.

Ok, so I am not really much of a meat eater and definitely not an unhealthy eater but this place is amazing!! If you are going to have a Philly Cheesesteak you might as well have the best. There are two competing places that are famous for the cheesesteaks and a they are just around the corner from each other.... More

Not located in the nicest section of town. We opeted for Geno's over Pat's cheese steaks because Pat's forces you to have cheese whiz on your sandwich. At least at Geno's you get a choice of cheese. I went with provolone. Sadly, I can honestly say that I have eaten far better cheese steak subs/hoagies in Pittsburgh! All I can... More

Across The street (diagonally) from Pat's. Same type of food - somehow a different flavor and ambiance. Glitzy and a little Vegas like neon. Pats is just old grunge with modest unobserved improvements. Food at Geno's is good, you can tell the difference. Have 1/2 at one place have 1/3 across the street - form your own opinion. You don't... More

I've had Geno's a couple times and all but the first time wasn't by choice. I give them credit for having bold décor but the cheesesteak in the end was just okay. And really, if you're looking for a Philly Cheesesteak just turn your back to Geno's and walk across the street to Pat's because that's where you'll find the... More

Look, I'm all about hitting the local flavor when I'm in town. Gotta say, this place was a HUGE disappointment. We landed at the airport and some of the guys I work with wanted to hit up Pats and Genos. Went about 30 minutes out of our way to see what all the fuss was about. After locating a place... More

I understand that Geno's and Pat's are tourist traps, but my husband and I had to try them both and compare. We ate Pat's first and then hopped on over to Geno's. We ordered one wiz wit. It was good. I didn't like the way the steak was cut compared to Pat's. The wiz and onions were REALLY greasy. We... More

We really enjoyed our experience at Geno's the service was super friendly giving us advice on what to get for this family. We all ate off of two sandwiches! Food was very cheap which made me leary, but it was all excellent I was the one that left feeling too full and I am not a big meat eater. It... More

Staff was a little rude but the steak was good and seasoned well. Did a steak and cheese and a steak and cheese loaded. Was a little messy. Worth the wait . Better of the two cheesesteak spots in the middle.of town. Just my opinion.
