Great Little spot to have a good quick meal

For a South Street Restaurant it is one of the nicer, with linens, flatware and a authentic décor. Being from NJ the meals are priced a little more then I am accustom but still a decent deal. Each entrée comes with a small salad and a cup of basmati rice. Naan is not included. I wanted to try... read more

Enjoyed finding this wonderful place at the end of a long day. Ordered take-out chicken tikka-masala, which was marvelous and served with flavorful basmati rice. The seasoning was fantastic and had that rare combination of spices familiar only to the most serious curry aficionados, and I travel the world I search of the perfect tikka-masala. Great location in the heart... More

I haven't had Indian food very often and the waiter suggested a dish with food that I like and it was fantastic!! Will go back to explore other dishes. Bring you own bottle which is a good thing.

So we just picked up some friends from the airport who've been in Mexico for a week. It was dinner time and we wanted to eat, I suggested mexican but that didn't go over well. Our friends suggested Indian. I was a little apprehensive because all I knew about Indian was curry and spicy. I was up for the experience.... More

We went to Lovash for dinner on Valentine's night. They were offering either a set Valentine menu or the normal menu. We have been to Lovash many times for lunch, so we knew the food and service would be great and it did not disappoint. What surprised us was the great value the Valentine menu was. They also provided a... More

The place is small, but comfortable. The menu is full with a decent variety of authentic indian dishes. This was my first time eating Indian food, so I will say I didnt like everything, but I was very pleased with most. The appetizers were very tasty. We had the sampler and also some tandori wings. Nick, our server was extremely... More

Unfortunately the cook quit the night before we visited Lovash for lunch, so the menu was limited. Still the price was right; the chicken curry that the beleaguered host was able to organize was tasty & warm naan w/ spicy yogurt sauce tastes good under any circumstances. A large fresh mango laasi was a delicious dessert & smoothed the edges... More

On a fun little strip called South Street, Lovash was the first Indian restaurant that we spotted and since my mom and I were FAMISHED, ran right on in. We arrived around 3:30 on a Saturday so the place was not at all packed. Atul our waiter took our order - I ordered a Shahi Paneer right from the "Creations... More

Food wa satisfactory but an incredibly bad sound system detracted significantly from our enjoyment. It wasn't too busy luckily, FOr the first 10 minutes we were treated to otherwise enjoyable Indian music with incredible static. Our request for relief intitally brought silence but was soon followed by 10+ minutes of spoken monotonic chanting, A second request for relief brought very... More
