This was my first time having dinner at The Palm and it certainly will not be my last time. The restaurant had a great social vibe and our waiter was great too. They have a summer special, which is 9 oz. filet and lobster, choice of soup or salad, and a shared side dish. First of all the filet was... More

We were looking for a good steakhouse to eat at after a show at the Kimmel Center. The Palm is a block from the center and seemed to be a good fit. It has a great history, so if you get a chance to read about it on their menu or on line you should. The decoration of the inside... More

We ate here for our Anniversary Dinner and our Steak Oscar was delicious, it was topped with fesh lobster. The sides of brussel sprouts and spinach were perfect. Our waiter, Norman, suprised us with a complimentary dessert with a candle and a bowl of fresh berries, perfect meal and service.

My husband and I decided to dine at the Palm after a 2 'clock play last week. The service was excellent but the food too pricey for the taste. I had the tuna steak and my husband the crab cakes. The sides were priced extra. The meal came promptly but the atmosphere also was a disappointing. For $110.00 with only... More

Celebrated a graduation dinner. Food was average, both steaks cooked wrong. Sides just mediocre. Their famous 1/2 and 1/2 used to be cottage fries and onion strings, but now potato chips and onion rings . Not good. I still love the bar and the Palm has the two best bartenders in the city. We will go back, it's an institution,... More

I understand this place is popular with the business account crowd. It is an old school Steak House chain. The food is mediocre at best, and obscenely expensive for the product you receive. Who has the guts to charge $37 for a piece of Farm Raised Salmon served al a carte. My strip steak was gristly, and tasteless. If you... More

Myself and my wife visited The Palm on Sunday the 27th of April for our 12 year Anniversary. We had a 9pm reservation, which is their last seating of the evening. This was our first visit. There were a couple of issues but all in all, it turned out to be a good experience. Our server, Luanna (I think that's... More

This is a Philadelphia institution that I was invited to for a week-day lunch. The setting is very clubby and traditional, the restaurant has been there for ages. We both ordered a specialty burger with sides. everything we ordered was recommended on their menu as a Palm special. To cut to the chase the person that invited me had to... More

We had dinner at the Palm on Sunday night. Unfortunately they close a 9pm and the wait staff were in a hurry to get home. The meal was great but the service poor. It started with impediments in one of our water glass and continued with trash in our wine glass. Apologies were offered so we continued the meal. The... More

Some of the best Lobster I've ever eaten in the continental U.S. Very expensive. Kind of has the same feel as original in New York. It was a good 2 1/2 hour event. Might try Capital Grill next time.
