Lunch at Palm

The Power Lunch on the menu was wonderful. For $26 (plus tax and tip) we had the choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert. The choices were plentiful and delicious. For all the hype and the reputation, The Palm (Philadelphia) was a disappointing experience. Perhaps the fact that it was Valentine's Day contributed to the negative experience. Dinner was rather rushed by up-scale restaurant standards. The drink were very good - well made, high quality & priced as expected. We ordered the 3 lb. whole lobster & 14 oz. filet... More

Located in the beautiful Bellevue Stratford, The Palm must pay a pretty penny for this prime real estate. So it makes no sense to let that expensive square footage get so grimy. I know, I know, it was lunch and the harsh light of day does no restaurant any good. But this is an expensive, high end restaurant with an... More

My wife and I had dinner at Palm last week in Philadelphia. Although we had a good meal we were not knocked out by the overall experience. The meal moved a bit too fast for our liking. We tried to sit a the bar and have a drink before dinner to slow the pace but there were no seats. 4... More

Still the best of the chains - with the possible exception of Del Frisco's. Great Steaks - Great Crab cakes - great salads. I like the new "smaller" offerings on the sides.

we sat at the bar for a drink after dinner elsewhere. Service was fine. The location is excellent if you're staying at the Hyatt Bellevue.

Haven't been back here in years but won't make that mistake again. Had a lunch with two great crab cakes. The kind with enough filler to hold together and that is all. Broiled, not deep fried and great sauce. Only complaint was that the iced tea was a little weak.

No matter what city I am in if they Have a Palm restaurant I make it my business to try and get there. I usually will avoid the "name" steakhouses like Ruth's Chris or Mortons as I would rather experience the locally owned restaurants. The Palms is the exception to this.

I recently attended a catered business dinner at the PALM Philly in September. As we were a private group we were served upstairs in a private room as I can not speak of décor or ambiance on main level. Upstairs servers were prompt with the wine, water , sodas and hors d'oeuvres. Crab/mushroom was very tasty. Filet Mignon was perfectly... More

A beautiful, dark wood, classic atmosphere. Very personal service. Not stuffy. Burger sliders, clams casino, lobster tempura - bar appetizers - all fabulous. Nice wine list. Just a bit pricey from my suburbian point of view, but you are in Center City Philadelphia, and you are at a 5 star restaurant!
