If you want a really big slice of cheese pizza that's a good value, then this is your place in Philly. There are no toppings (except one night of the week) and few options, but as far as cheese pizza goes, it's pretty good. I'd recommend this place as an "afternoon snack" over a meal, but it's a local favorite... More

Went with a friend to Jim's Steaks at lunchtime .... but they had a long line so we kept walking. Since we had to get back to work we decided to try Lorenzo's Pizza. It is inexpensive - a large slice and bottled water was around $5 - but I'd rather pay a more and get something that tastes good.... More

Small place open late, and they are very helpful at moving the line along. Big, big slice of tasty pizza for $3.50. Cash only. We were drunk and it was good!

The pizza here is pretty good. I think the thing about it is the large slice. It's huge! $3.50 a slice but they only serve cheese except on Tuesday. I've had better but if you're in Philly you gotta try it.

Listen, there's a lot of talk over which of the hundreds (thousands, maybe) of pizza places in Philly has the best pizza. And there are a lot of great pizzas in Philly. But I can tell you that, bar none, Lorenzo and Sons has the absolute best pizza in the city. Period. There is nothing better. I have taken many... More

Lorenzo's is an absolute must-go if you're in Philly and looking for pizza. In my opinion, most "tourist" type of pizza places are not very good and are kind of a "just for the experience" kind of place (kind of like Pat and Geno's). Yet, Lorenzo's actually has great pizza. The slices are absolutely huge and they're delicious. The atmosphere... More

If this is the one on South Street in Phila then you must go and have a slice just to say you were at Lorenzos. BiG slice and cheesy. Standing room only in back or get a whole one and take out. We have the driver take us there on the way home from the airport sometimes. Check it out.

This place serves great pizza, period. That's all they do, on a slice by very large slice basis. It's fantastic pizza. Recently reopened after a devastating fire, this place is a jewel on South Street. We travel 16 miles from our house when we get the urge for a slice of Lorenzo's. You have to try this pizza, you will... More
