Great find

Though we don't dine in Philly often (mostly come for the bars ) have been here twice and would not hesitate to come back again . The service was personal and the food was outstanding. The only reason they don't get a fifth star is that while their food prices are reasonable, their wine selection... read more

This restaurant was recommended by the place we're staying nearby. The food was tasty, came quickly, was priced reasonably, and the staff was attentive. I'll eat here again before I go home.

I recently planned my boyfriend's surprise 35th birthday dinner and la fourno was wonderful in every way! Al was a pleasure to deal with, from meeting with me in person to go over the menu, texting with any questions/issues, to being in on the secret when we arrived after everyone else for our 'reservation'. The upstairs dining room was perfect... More

We were a party of 6 with no reservation. While they got the table ready the proprieter sorted out drinks for us and was incredibly friendly. We felt like we'd been there many times before, and as he chatted we felt more and more that we had made a great decision to choose this restaurant which was close to a... More

In Philly for the first time and this restaurant was recommended by the place I was staying at. I was so impressed. It was very affordable, the food was great and the service was superb. We felt very welcomed and in fact were welcomed by the owner. I was contemplating having some bread as an entree and was so glad... More

We were walking down South Street and saw this place, the waiter that greeted us was polite at first. The ambience and music is nice I will point out. The only other good parts were the small salad, and the bread appetizer we ordered. That's when it stopped. I had ordered a chicken parm panini but the waiter started talking... More

This is one of the best restaurants I have found in Philly. Everything was cooked perfect and was delicious (I had a bite of all six of our meals). Service was attentive and friendly. The owners were a delight to talk to. We really enjoyed everything from appetizers to dessert. We were running an event the following weekend and suggested... More

Visting my daughter in Philly this weekend and lucked into finding this place for dinner Saturday night (Valentine's Day). We had no reservations, family of 4, and the manager was very accomodating getting us a table. The food and service were wonderful. I had the veal and sage ravioli and they were delicious but I do think my husband's lobster... More

This is a cute, locally owned restaurant with reasonably priced, tasty food. It's located on South Street amid the bars and cheap clothing and sneaker stores, but once you're inside the ambiance is cozy, with a brick oven burning in the front. The food is fresh--I had the seafood special, and the fish and calamari were tender and flavorful. My... More

I was going to be in Philadelphia with 24 other people for a long weekend, and was responsible for making the dinner arrangements for our first night there. (Italian had been agreed upon for the first night.) After narrowing the field to three restaurants (all highly rated on TripAdvisor and elsewhere) and speaking with them, I decided on La Fourno....
