Great Tomato Pie

During a "foodie tour" of Philly our first stoop was Joe's Pizza for some tomato pie. The sauce was a little chunky and delicious. This is a great tomato pie. Don't take my word for it, try it yourself.

Hit Joe's as one member of our group was not a seafood fan. Just on the edge of the Rittenhouse Square. Many options, quick service, our sausage slices were a little dry but yummy.

Always great pizza and the lines out the door at lunch time attest to this. Also they make great steak sandwiches and Greek salads. I eat here perhaps once a week and have done for years. My favorites are the mushroom, or the white ricotta cheese. There is seating, so take out or eat in for one of the best... More

Joe’s Pizza has been our go-to dinner choice for pizza for the Committee of Seventy and our volunteers because our volunteers deserve nothing but the best! The combination of cheese, crust, sauce, and various toppings are the cornerstone of any pizza, but Joe’s makes it more than the sum of its parts. If you’re hosting a big event, go to... More

The pizza is pretty good, though there's better in Philly. Make sure to know exactly what you want. The servers are not very friendly, even when it's not crowded.

We run a large Election Program twice a year, and at the end of the day our volunteers and staff are hungry. We can always count on Joe's to keep us going with their huge assortment of pies. Whether it's plain, pepperoni, or vegetable, the combination of crust, cheese, and sauce is pizza perfection. There's a reason the line at... More

When visiting Philadelphia there are certain obligatory things to do. A cheese steak is one. A police officer recommended this place so I had high expectations. All my expectations were blown away. The sandwich was made from scratch, not made from meet and onions waiting from earlier. Bread was amazing, and the amount they put on the sandwich impressive.

Very good pizza at reasonable price. Large selection and worth visiting. I had the pepperoni and sausage. The crust was great and the pizza was fresh from the oven.
