Amazing experience

We stopped at this little place while in the Reading Terminal Market because...well, honestly, because it looked like we would be able to sit down for lunch. We were exhausted and decided, what the heck, looks like a short line. Let's try it. What a good idea! We thought we were just going to... read more

Server was great, but this pulled pork hoagie whatever isn't. It's like pulled pork smothered in smoked vinegar. There's some tangy/tart flavor that isn't good at all I couldn't even finish my sandwich after a few pokes with the fork. The Mac and cheese was ok thank god I ordered a side of that or I would still be hungry.... More

Our family of four had a great breakfast for 10 dollars each. The portions were big and the prices were excellent. The home fries for breakfast were excellent. Just a really good diner in the heart of Terminal Market.

The coffee was the best thing. It is fairly cramped, do I recommend taking a booth. The food was average and a little pricey. The servers were efficient.

When I travel to Philly, I have breakfast at the Down Home Diner, quick friendly service, guality is good, and the best Cornbeef and Hash I've had. I like finding local spots for breakfast when I travel, just a bit more like home than hotel buffet. i'm usally a lite breakfast eater, they have plenty of options where you do... More

This place in located in the Reading Terminal Market which is close to the Philadelphia Convention Center. Got tired of hotel food and prices and ventured out for breakfast prior to the day's events. Had the Country Benny the first day and a bowl of oatmeal the second. Both had ample servings and were good. The Country Benny with coffee... More

I came here for breakfast on Boxing Day, while staying at the hotel across the street. Enjoyed the food here. No wait for a table. Large portions. Had the blueberry pancakes. Would return

Stopped for lunch and found the quality of the food to be much less than expected. Husband's club was dry, mayo-less, and on stale bread. What I could taste of the crabmeat on my crabcake sandwich was pretty good however, there was such a small amount it was mostly overpowered by the lettuce and tomato. There are so many other... With all the choices in the Reading Terminal, pass this one up. Have been here before and enjoyed it. This time it was lame. Fried chicken was cold, mashed potatoes lumpy and carrots bland. Macaroni and cheese was sour and had to be sent back. They did take it off the bill however would have preferred it taste better.

The coffee is dynamite! The food was really good and big portions, too, for their breakfast. The male server was extremely courteous and if you ask if I'd go again? In a heartbeat.
