This restaurant is right on the edge of Chinatown, just a few short blocks from the convention center. They are open for lunch and dinner. It is pretty inside with tablecloths. And they accept major credit cards. The food is excellent. Chicken satay is nice and comes with both peanut sauce and a sweet cucumber sauce. The steamed dumplings, with... More

Over a 12 year period I travelled to Thailand approx. 6 times a year (work) and enjoyed wonderful Thai food. While I have found a few places in the US that came close in quality and flavor, few can match the meal I just had at a small little inexpensive restaurant in Philadelphia. Erawan (the one on 23rd St) is... More

We went for lunch and enjoyed our food. I liked the combo of Salad-Appetizer-Entree. However, I was disappointed about their policy of $15 minimum for credit card as a method of payment. There is an ATM availbale if you need to get some cash. I general, we had a good time.

Lunch special is a really good deal and highly recommend. Soup (i forget the name - chicken with tomatoes) wasn't worth eating but the other apps on the menu were delicious like the shrimp and dumplings. The duck entree was good good also except they took a beautiful crispy breast and poured sauce overtop therefore rendering the skin inedible. Overall... More

Erawan was just a 3 minute walk away from our apartment we were staying in downtown Philly so we stopped in one night. What a pleasant surprise! The 3 course meal comes with a choice of appetizers (Curry Chicken Dumplings are great!), Soup or Salad, and a choice of entrees. We tried the green curry with both shrimp and chicken.... More

The staff at this restaurant was very friendly and the service was good. The food was not great. The wonton soup was good with fresh vegetables, but the Tom Kha was bland and watered down, usually has onion, this did not. The chicken pad thai was heavy and greasy, not much flavor and the vegetable green curry was bland, watered... More

We stumbled upon this tiny place close to our hotel on Arch Street and were well pleased. The staff was helpful and friendly, the atmosphere quiet and clean, and the dishes we ordered very good.

My husband and I tried Erawan yesterday for lunch and it did not disappoint. Three courses (very reasonably sized for an average human being) for 7.95 is nearly unheard of but don't let the price fool you- it's really good food. I recommend the Spicy Thai Basil whole heartedly. Same flavors as Pad Kee Mao but hotter and served with... More

My wife wanted to try a Thai restaurant so a little research and a groupon deal later we tried Erawan. My wife had a coconut soup with shrimp and Massaman curry with chicken. . I had the yellow curry with chicken. We both agreed that it was very tasty and both enjoyed our meals. I would recommend this restaurant if... More
