I have been a fan of Pietro's for many years, especially when dining with children. However this visit was very disappointing and the place wasn't even busy. Poor service! We sat there waiting for our simple orders for an hour with three small children! Our waitress, sporting an unbuttoned shirt until it was pointed out to her, couldn't manage to... More

During a weekend trip to Philadelphia, my wife and I just wanted a quick dinner, and pizza seemed to be the choice. This being our first visit to Philadelphia we did not know where to find a good pizza place. We consulted the internet and found that Pietro's was close to our hotel. When we first walked in we were... More

Two of us visited Pietro's Coal Oven Pizzeria this past week while on a business trip in Philadelphia. We ordered a pizza and pasta to share along with some wine. We chose the Barese Pizza which had spicy sausage, hot pesto, tomato, and mozzarella and it was excellent. Our pasta choice was Gemelli with chicken, arugula in a white wine... More

Ten friends gathered here for a catch-up dinner. Not being a fan of pizza for dinner, lunch maybe, I was not looking foward to the meal. I was proven wrong. When two of us entered the restaurant the place was buzzin', and I mean loud! I thought uh-oh this is not going to be good. We met up with two... More

It almost doesn't matter about the food when the noise level is beyond deafening. When this place filled up, people were literally shouting above each other. I couldn't wait to get out. On the plus side, my salad was Ok and fresh, although the dressing was bland and tasteless. My husband enjoyed his pizza. The service was efficient.

It was my last dinner of my trip yo philly, we went there to have a pizza. The place was full so we stayed at the bar and ordered pizza. I had four-cheese pizza... It was good... they should spread more cheese on the edges... but it was good!

Shared a salad and pizza for lunch. Both were delicious. Was not crowded that day. Waiter was very nice and attentive. Would love to come back and try their pastas.

II stopped by for a late lunch and had the spaghetti pomodoro. I was disappointed in the sauce. It was more like a regular tomato sauce in that it was think and heavy not light like I expected. Service was OK. A man at a table next to me had a pizza and it looked good. I will try that... More
