Coal Oven Taste

Passed by Pietro’s while out for a walk through the city and decided to stop. Coal ovens burn very hot compared to wood or other fuels. Pizza cooks very quickly and has a distinctive taste. Pietro’s crust is slightly thicker and chewier than my favorite but the flavor was good. When I ordered a... read more

Good food very big plates. Worth the money. The new construction is killing the look of the Resturant. White washing beautiful red brick in a historical area not the best idea in my opinion. The food is great and all clients I take there enjoy it.

We stopped into Pietro's because of the other great reviews and were not dissappointed. The pizza was fresh and delicious with a nice thin crust. We enjoyed pre-dinner appetizer (bruschetta) and salads with bread and oil. The wine selection was good and service was truly excellent.

We went to Pietros for some regular food after several meals of fine dining. The pizza was very good. The waitstaff was friendly and efficient. The environment however was very noisy. It is all hard surfaces with nothing to absorb noise. The meter on my phone was consistently at 90 decibels or more. That is loud. It was hard to carry... More

Nice place, friendly efficient service. Decent prices. We had the stuffed meatballs appetizer which was yummy. The tomato sauce was great to dip the bread into. We shared a pizza which was good too. And of course we each had a glass of red wine. Nice experience.

The pizza and fresh baked bread were wonderful!! Location was fun and down to earth. The building had tin ceilings and the feel was as if you were outside in a courtyard. Drinks were okay and the service was average. They got our order wrong but the food was still great. We did have a ton left over just because... More

We had a 9:30 dinner reservation for a group of 9 (our family). We were celebrating an event. Had a table in the back right most corner of the restaurant. We said that one of our party had a difficult time walking (has a walker and leg braces) and the waitress said "OK" and still we ended up a flight... More

We ordered it at the restaurant's website and when we got there the pizza was almost ready. It was a good choice for us because we where not in the mood to wait for a table. Great pizza!

Recommended to us by the concierge at our hotel for a nearby casual spot. The dining room has very strange lighting-- really dark near the bar and well lit towards back. The manager wandering around had a very angry scowl and you get the feeling this is not a happy place to work. Our waiter seemed annoyed and harried and... More

Well priced salads and individual pizzas. Wine list very reasonable. Great location off rittenhouse Square. lively bar scene but quite restaurant in back. Service was attentive. We were there with children and they were very accommodating with children's menu too.
