We made last minute reservations for a group of 10 people. They sat us in the wine cellar. Food was excellent. Our server was Italian and was attentive but not intrusive. Wine list is ridiculously extensive. The book looks like the Guttenberg Bible. Highly recommend.

Excellent food, lovely service, nice ambiance. The farm-to-table ethos just makes this place about perfect. Go!

My husband and I chose La Famiglia to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary and we are very glad we did. The service was attentive and the good delicious. We began with the special ravioli of the evening as an appetizer then followed with a veal chop for my husband and Vitello al Pistacchio for me. The veal melted in my... More

We were referred by our concierge at the Marriott. We arrived and waited over 15 minutes before our waiter appeared although there were only 5 tables occupied at 8 pm. Both of our pastas were overdone and the sauces were heavy and sweet. Definitely not what we were looking for!

Our last night of our business trip and all 6 of us wanted some place special to celebrate a birthday. This place was perfect! Such a great old building with a family run business. Looks like it has been a pillar of Philly dining for generations. Our meal was delicious. The wine list was extensive; a 3 inch leather book!... More

We arrived late one night during the week and we were the last table seated. The staff was very professional and did not rush us at all despite the fact we were the last in the restaurant. The food was excellent I had their version of a caprese which came with a huge piece of delicious mozzarella easily shared by... More

The main restaurant is very small; however, there are two private rooms available for larger parties. The building is very historic in nature and has a bit of a musty smell, but expected and not overpowering. The wine list is a huge book with a page for each label and you can view the wine cellar area when you head... More

An excellent restaurant serving traditional Italian food. On a visit to Philadelphia, this restaurant was recommended by our hotel and we were not disappointed. Our dinner was the best we had in Philadelphia with salad and pasta to start and fish for our main course. The service was excellent.

I have been going to this restaurant for many years. The last two years I started to see it slipping a bit, when waiters had been established with the restaurant for many years started to disappear. I went to the restaurant this pass saturday to celebrate my dads 65th B Day. Two words would describe the event TRAIN WRECK!! It... More
