Farm fresh food, prepared well, Lots of over the top combinations and very fresh and flavorful. Staff is top notch and atmosphere is casual. Food it not inexpensive but very tasty and prepared well. Presentation was also a plus. Try the mushroom soup...to die for. We had lunch one day and dinner another. No complaints here! Definitely a place to... More

Had lunch there with my daughter before visiting a Philadelphia college. Loved everything about the place: people were friendly, our waiter (Joe) did a great job, the food was excellent and the decor was eclectic and cool. It's an expensive lunch, totally worthy, but a little pricey. We had the hummus appetizer, burger, pulled pork and 2 sodas. It cost... More

First time visiting this adorable cafe in University City; friends made the reservations for a Saturday night dinner. Started out at the bar with average service and good drinks. Moved to a comfy table for 4 for dinner. Warning if you're seated against the wall with the birdhouses - watch your head when you sit down. Very easy to bump... More

The location is one of the most beautiful in Philly! In the heart of the university city! In a street famous for typical Irish raw pubs! Personally I eaten the French toast and was really the best of my life!

Great seasonal local produce comes in a creative tasty menu. Very friendly staff. We enjoyed dinner outside with our dog. We really liked their local beer.

The Cafe has recently been renovated in various rooms I would generally refer to as "Modern Dog" or "Traditional Dog." You get the idea, very tastefully done rooms in various exaggerated canine themes - but it is interesting and really works (notice the traditional large "dog bone" mantel over the fireplace in the front parlor room.) Various paintings have a... More

I heard the founder (Judy Wicks) speak in the morning at a conference about how she started the White Dog Cafe' and then I got to eat there that evening. This was one of the best meals I've ever had in a restaurant! Our server was very attentive and took plenty of time to give a full description of every... More

Enjoyed lunch here the other day. Ordered one of the specials, a salad with shrimp, blue cheese, bacon and avocado- was very good. I especially appreciated that the bacon was sliced in bite sized chunks and was not hard or over cooked. It was a perfect portion. Since I am trying to watch what I eat I was fine that... More

This quaint restaurant is located in close proximity to UPenn. I had the 4 course special for $35 and it was well- worth the price. Each course was fantastic. The port tenderloin was cooked to perfection. The wait staff was very attentive. I would definitely eat there again.
