This was my 3rd time here and all 3 times I was treated poorly and rudely by the old women behind the counter. This last time I was yelled at for asking a simple question about their cannollis. Just because you and your business are over 100 years old doesn't give you the right to treat your customers with disrepect... More

Can you smell Heaven? Yes you can at 10th and Christian St. in Philadelphia. I've been coming to Isgro's since I was a kid visiting my grandmother in Philadelphia. I don't get back very often anymore so this is a very serious pilgrimage for me. You absolutely can smell the pastries half a block away. Their display case is gorgeous... More

No joke. We were walking through the neighborhood with our Philly host and I smelled baked goods! When I turned around, I saw the Italian flag sign and we bolted for the bakery. The display case was like staring at an art masterpiece, with perfectly-crafted pastries, cookies, and cannoli. Now, it has been my experience that baked goods often look... More

The pastries were good. Not over sweet, just right. Cannolis were one of the best I have ever ate. Few problems... The price was not on the tag, so I wasn't sure till lady said how much total it was (of course, I could ask and sure she could tell me before, I believe). Could not find parking -- My... More

We got the cannolis - mascarpone and chocolate (regular, not mousse) and both were subpar. The mascarpone was made up of some mascarpone cream at the ends but filled in center with whipped cream. For the price they charge it should be all mascarpone. The chocolate was horrendous- did not have any chocolate flavor - tasted like water and cornstarch.... More

The line was out the door on St Joseph's Day for the St Joseph's zeppole. Loved the ricotta and the marscapone best. Could not leave without the best ricotta cannoli in all of Philadelphia. Filled to order, no soggy shells. 4 cannoli and 4 zeppole $35. A bit of a splurge but, hurry in for the limited time zeppole.

Isgro knocks the ball out of the park with it's pastries. Cookies, cupcakes, layer cakes, Italian Rum Cakes....I could go on and on. We just went to get a rum cake for a birthday party and left with all sorts of goodies. We were there on a Saturday, busy as usual, and everything we bought is now gone, and it's... More

If your a cakeaholic or a Biscotti Addict then here is the place you need to avoid... there should be a big warning sign outside. DANGER DELICIOUS CAKES AHEAD. i can understand why people become frustrated with service delays and busy shops.because this ain't no supermarket. This is old world traditional shop and you know you just gotta wait. Or... More

Outstanding pastry shop! Word of warning, it is always busy! I usually get the ricotta canoli, however have tried a few other items. Everything is fresh and delicious. They have been around for something like 110 years (or longer I think), which certainly speaks to how great they are at their craft.

The choices seemed endless and the cannoli was freshly made as you watched. It was absolutely the best!
