Eclectic fun spot near the electric factory

I had passed this "diner" on several occasions on my way home from work. I'd always look at the outside, because, well - it stands out from its surroundings. As an avid Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives watcher on Food Network, I saw this location featured, and it peaked my attention. I was NOT disappointed. The menu is seasonal, lending credibility... More

The food is not your typical diner fare. We were here for dinner and decided to waited for a table in the actual diner section. The hostess was friendly as were the rest of the staff. the portions were worth the $$. We each ordered a different meal and shared. The Shrimp & House Made Fettuccine was the best! The... More

The place maybe in an old diner but the food is awesome. Not your typical dinner food. Way more upscale. I can not tell you how good it was as you need to see for yourself. Service was good and the place has a through back setting to it. Prices were good for what you are getting. This place was... More

We wanted a good diner for breakfast so we decided to give Silk City a try, very happy we did. Got there just before they filled up. Sat down right away and had very attentive waitress. I ordered the Pork Belly hash, wife ordered the Huevos Rancheo and daughter ordered the Banana Chocolate Pancakes. I tasted all 3 and was... More

1. We were ignored at the door by a hostess who would not stop texting on her phone and flirting with the bartender. When we asked her for help, she rolled her eyes and grudgingly pointed at a table for us to sit. 2. We were brought water and menus by a staff member who again, rolled his eyes when... More

Visited with family and friends for Sunday brunch and was impressed with the unique menu. Located in an artsy neighborhood on the edge of center city, the ambiance is "alternative" and casual. My lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry compote were delicious and my Bloody Mary perfectly seasoned. Another member of my party had short ribs that melted in your mouth... More

I ate at this place because I like to try different triple d restaurant and was highly disappointed! We asked the waitress what guy fiery ate and we told that menu and chef have changed since the episode was aired. So we asked her what she recommended and she said everything! We thought that was inappropriate response for a waitress.... More

Great find! We appreciated the Autumn food theme, with autumn veggies in their minestrone, pumpkin-flavored draft beer, kale salad, spiced, and braised pork Sandwich (great crusty bread) and the Thai-noodles with peanut sauce and duck confit were perfect with the Fall weather. We forgot the name of our waiter (a young man with a big moustache), but he was very... More

This place is always good. I went here recently for brunch and had a delicious mediterranean omlette, which I ate out in the garden . Even the coffee was delicious. I have been here for lunch and the food is always tasty.I also like the funky decor.
