The food is expensive. It doesn't taste good. I really object to snob appeal places. Unless you need to be seen, don't waste your time.

Not your typical diner as the Continetal strives to give you a more refined standard of eating experience. Despite it being a busy night the staff were attentive and organised and the level service was excellent. The quality of the food was excellent too , although the tapas style service meant at the food came to you as soon as...

I was initially expecting a retro diner, which it is not. I did not care for the strange decor and find weird upholstered furniture and chaotic hanging objects in restaurants to be dirty and unappetizing. We were seated on the second floor right up against a swinging kitchen door so by the time we started looking at the menu I...

My boyfriend and i stopped in just looking for a drink/quick bite while walking around. The drinks were okay and they have a roof top bar which is nice to sit outside on a nice day (nothing fancy). We had apps (onion dumplings were yummy!). Don't really have any desire/need to go back but it served its purpose for what...

We were walking by and hungry and just went it. The menu is "global tapas" . Too expensive - we shared 2 small crab cakes, 4 fried mozzarella sticks, 4 spinach raviolis, and we had one beer and one tonic water and the bill came to $50. Don't know what the fuss is all about. Guess if you're young and...

The service was very good. The martini was excellent. My daughter ate a cheesesteak eggroll, and within 2 hrs she became violently ill. I had to take her to the emergency department for dehydration. We later learned from a tour guide that other folks got sick a few hours after eating here as well. Don't do it!
Five of us dine here about 8 times a year before we attend the theater. Reservations are necessary and we are always seated promptly. There is an excellent and varied selection of American and ethnic food, including small plates. Portions are generous which encourage sharing.
Service is friendly and efficient, the food is delicious and prices are reasonable . The...

The plates are family style and small enough to share and enjoy. We had the Mexican chop salad which was flavorful followed by the seared tuna prepared perfectly on a bed of risotto and crab meat pad Thai.
From Toronto & this is our third vist to Philly to visit family & our third visit to the Continental. Sunday brunch can be a bit of a zoo, but the kitchen handles it well. Smoked salmon Eggs Bene are to die for. Great portions of consistantly good food, servers could pick up a bit on the friendly attitude, but...

I love their cocktail selection and their food is also very good. My favorite cocktail is the astronaut martini. This is a Stephen Starr restaurant. This location is in Old City and there many other bars around.
