The Continental has great atmosphere from the excellent and unique design choices throughout. The servers are helpful, friendly and authentic to the space. Everything we tried was pretty good, though one oddity: they explain menu items are tapas style (not very large and made to share), yet have enormous salads. Cocktail drinks were good, but not spectacular.

Cute place, lots of character. The menu was not what we expected, but we were more than pleasantly surprised with the food and drinks had. Wait staff was great with recommendations and so quick with service that we all commented on it during dinner. It was our first time and first night in Philly - made for a great start!

This place is really cute and great for people watching... While it is usually packed due to the world cup it was rather dead. Good for us. The food was good. A very limited menu so check it out before your go so you see what you are in store for. Our server was not exactly quick but that was... More

We had Sunday brunch here and found the wait staff great and the food really good. Bloody Marys came with huge olives ( as seen on the outside of the building) and were mixed perfectly. Eggs Benedict were great and the other orders reportedly fine. Interesting atmosphere with hanging rattan basket-chairs, 50's hanging lights and circular booths on the first... More

Some words you must use here: 'Cheese Steak Egg Rolls'!! Sharing style food in a diner setting that's lively and fairly fast moving: food comes out of the kitchen quick! I went with a few regulars who knew the best things to order. As a result, everything we ate was very good and interesting/unique. The cheese steak egg rolls, mountain... More

We loved our food and the service was great. Most of all, we enjoyed the break from sight-seeing and we loved sitting on the sidewalk and watching all the people going by. We had a lunch, nothing fancy, and drinks (not alcoholic). Our bill, without tip, was $37.90. Others have mentioned a roof top but we didn't see it. Maybe... More

We went here for lunch after a med school graduation. We had called ahead and had reservations and our table was ready when we arrived. We ordered wine, beer and champagne all of which were great! Big selection on the wine, martini and beer menu. For a soup starter I had the Udon Noodle Soup which had huge chicken dumplings... More

We visited the other weekend on a Saturday for happy hour. The roof top was a cool half open, half closed space. It was crowded, but not crowded to the point we couldn't get a drink. A great spot in the heart of philly.

My husband and I shared a few plates. The brussel sprouts and the korean tacos were super tasty and the lettuce wraps were also good. We really enjoyed the Grasshopper dessert - the mint ice cream is unlike any you've had before - actually tastes like herbal mint. Fun atmosphere and also a well made mint julep. A little spendy,... First and foremost, we are not foodies, so going into this place we had little expectations and hoped for something just better than a greasy spoon. We were pleasantly surprised. My wife had the bacon cheeseburger and she said it was one of the best she's ever had. Wow! As for me, I had the deep-fried shrimp and calamari. It... More
