Fun, trendy dinner

Tapas type dinner in a fun but loud environment. Our party of three sat upstairs across from two toppers with the swings. Thought they were fun enough to try when one was free. We had the bbq chicken quesadilla, hummus and pita (and cucumbers), bbq bao buns, chicken skewers, crab cakes and caprese... read more

It's an average restaurant, nothing impressive besides the decor. The place is beautiful inside and the staff are friendly, but it lacks taste in the food, we got lettuce wraps and quesadillas, and we've had far better elsewhere. The lettuce wraps tasted like you are stuffing peppermint candy into your mouth and the quesadillas were bland. The portions are on... More

Went for a casual dinner with friends and had a great time. The wait wasn't too bad for a saturday night. Our server was friendly and accomodating. Always enjoy this place.

In town with the family and we wanted to jump in somewhere and have a quick bite. The Continental had something for everyone, the edamame were awesome!! We got the flatbread with cheese and mushrooms superb taste and perfect size and not too expensive for the city. Definitely will go back. They also have cool chairs upstairs for couples -... More

We have been going to the Continental for many years. It is a favorite place to bring out of town friends. Thursday night was cool and we sat outside with our dog. Two other tables had dogs. People and dogs got great service. Lots of small plates of exotic flavors. Great for vegans.

Crispy calamari salad was fantastic, and veal and ricotta meatballs were amazing. Although we were the last diners of the evening, we never felt rushed, and our waiter made it clear that we were welcome to stay as long as we liked. Great food, great service, great location (very close to Penn's Landing). We will eat here again!

This was a fun and funky place to eat - if you like small plates and sharing, this was fun. The lobster mac and cheese was super, the cheesesteak egg rolls were a fun and tasty variation and we had these french onion stuffed mushrooms with melted cheese on top. Three plate were enough for two of us and we... More

They didn't have the egg rolls when we went but it was pretty good otherwise. Nothing spectacular. Gets crowded.

The Continental offers something different and can cater for large groups. The menu has a number of tapas style dishes on offer all of which look delicious! The staff are really friendly and were able to offer us some great advice about staying in Philly. The restaurant is great for couples or groups. Tip: ask to try out the hanging... More
