We had a business dinner here and reserved the rooftop bar and lounge. The lower levels of the restaurant are designed with a fun and mod atmosphere with low lighting and plenty of tables and bar space. The direct route to the roof is via elevator and opens up to a open air patio with booth and table seating. Inside,... More

Continental offers guests a unique experience with swanky decor, hip music and dishes that are deliciously creative. The rooftop is popular and inviting, the selection of drinks are endless and the staff are well dressed and extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The perfect place to socialize with friends or take a date. The upper level of the restaurant is my favorite,... More

I have paid a few visits to The Continental while in Philly for business. Both were very good experiences. First was with a colleague for a business dinner. Shared hummus platter and a mushroom flatbread. Good wine selection but too pricey. Their wines by the glass are $2-3 more than like offerings elsewhere. Second visit was with a larger group... More

The Continental has great atmosphere from the excellent and unique design choices throughout. The servers are helpful, friendly and authentic to the space. Everything we tried was pretty good, though one oddity: they explain menu items are tapas style (not very large and made to share), yet have enormous salads. Cocktail drinks were good, but not spectacular.

Cute place, lots of character. The menu was not what we expected, but we were more than pleasantly surprised with the food and drinks had. Wait staff was great with recommendations and so quick with service that we all commented on it during dinner. It was our first time and first night in Philly - made for a great start!

This place is really cute and great for people watching... While it is usually packed due to the world cup it was rather dead. Good for us. The food was good. A very limited menu so check it out before your go so you see what you are in store for. Our server was not exactly quick but that was... More

We had Sunday brunch here and found the wait staff great and the food really good. Bloody Marys came with huge olives ( as seen on the outside of the building) and were mixed perfectly. Eggs Benedict were great and the other orders reportedly fine. Interesting atmosphere with hanging rattan basket-chairs, 50's hanging lights and circular booths on the first... More

Some words you must use here: 'Cheese Steak Egg Rolls'!! Sharing style food in a diner setting that's lively and fairly fast moving: food comes out of the kitchen quick! I went with a few regulars who knew the best things to order. As a result, everything we ate was very good and interesting/unique. The cheese steak egg rolls, mountain... More

We loved our food and the service was great. Most of all, we enjoyed the break from sight-seeing and we loved sitting on the sidewalk and watching all the people going by. We had a lunch, nothing fancy, and drinks (not alcoholic). Our bill, without tip, was $37.90. Others have mentioned a roof top but we didn't see it. Maybe... More

We went here for lunch after a med school graduation. We had called ahead and had reservations and our table was ready when we arrived. We ordered wine, beer and champagne all of which were great! Big selection on the wine, martini and beer menu. For a soup starter I had the Udon Noodle Soup which had huge chicken dumplings... More
