Always enjoy having dinner or lunch here. The menu has many interesting items to choose from and the food is always tasty. We enjoy the large salads and vegetables - always plenty for sharing. This is a good restaurant to go to before a movie or show as the service was prompt and we had ample time to enjoy dinner... More

The food was very good here-we ordered lots of smaller items and shared. The big hit of the night was the French Onion Soup Dumplings-a big hit at the table. We also had Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Grilled Thai Chicken Skewers, Steamed Edamame and the Teriyaki Filet Mignon. All were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. Went for lunch and enjoyed extremely friendly service and above average food. The place looks a bit dated from the outside, and inside may not be luxurious, but I got there for the food and not to judge the furniture or the lighting. Had the Po Boy, which was big enough for a solo meal; soft rice shell and crunchy... More

I really enjoyed The Continental on Market East. I was surprised as it was very different from the other location in the city. This one seemed to have more of an Asian mix to the cuisine, which I love. The Rad Nah was awesome! Highly recommended.

Consistently good food, that ranges from onion soup dumplings to a great quinoa salad. Great choice and fun.

To be fair, we went around 4/ 4:30pm on a Saturday, so there may not have been the amount of choices on the menu that the online listing shows. However, there were about 5-6 options that would be lunch/ dinner related. I tried the veggie "cheesesteak"- portobellos, peppers and onions on a roll. Not much substance to it- as in,... More

The reason we contacted the Continental was because here were seventeen in our party...on Sunday night. You'd think they would have been prepared, they weren't. To be fair they did seat us in a room by ourselves, but then they provided one server that appeared capable of serving only three or four people at a time. Drink order get those... More

We stumbled on this place on a Sunday at 10am when we were looking for breakfast while visiting our son in Philly who only has an hour before going to work. I was dubious at first by the look of this place; diner? cocktail lounge? But we saw a fair number of people eating breakfast inside and since we had... More

The Continental is a perfect spot if you are with a group of people who have different preferences for food. Cuisines included Indian, American, and Asian. Sizes ranged from "Snacks" to "Bigs" with small plates and salads for those who are looking for something in the center of the spectrum. My favorites were the grilled octopus and lump crab pad...
