Just ok. The location is convenient, but if you are looking for a good meal and service, look elsewhere in Philly.

We had hoped to really enjoy our last dinner in Philadelphia, so we had dinner at Penne in the Hilton Inn at Penn. We were greeted by the manager, who was also the only server in the near empty restaurant at 6:45pm. We both had the Penne with Kale-walnut pesto for dinner which was supposed to... read more

A group of us were staying at the Inn at Penn, which is in the same building, and decided to try Penne since we had such a great experience at the hotel. Ooops. I'm pressed to find anything positive to say. The food took forever to arrive at our table and was not prepared as ordered. By the time it... More

The restaurant was right downstairs from our room. Honestly, if I had thought more about it, I probably would've investigated other options, like Pod, which was nearby. But the wine was great and the food was fresh and tasty. Overall, good but not "knock your socks off."

We started with an order of calamari. For entrees I had the most amazing caprese salad I have ever had. The mozzarella was so fresh and the tomatoes were so flavorful. The hubby enjoyed his steak as well. The kids enjoyed the wood fired pizzas we brought them back to the room finished by amazing coconut tiramisu. We also enjoyed... More

Some of the dishes were very good, some so so but the service was uniformity indifferent. My pasta dish was very good but my wife's was terrible so I'm guessing the reverse might be true at a later visit. It was highly recommended and often hosts groups so maybe we hit a bad patch. Asking to see manager helped only... More

The service was a disappointment. We were a party of 7, and our waiter,Roberto, was a bit indifferent in taking our orders. We were served a short time later and did not see Roberto until he came to clear the table. We asked for butter with the bread and were served 4 pats for the whole table. Food prep was... More

Wow, excellent dinner. The chicken with bread pudding was excellent. Accompanying veggies were creative and delicious

Conveniently located at the Inn at Penn this restaurant seemed well suited to host our friends while visiting Philadelphia. We booked ahead and then needed to change arrival time but repeated telephone calls went unanswered and leaving messages had no apparent impact. The food was reasonable but took far too long to make it to the table. The staff seemed... More

My guests and I did expect much more from this restaurant considering that it was attached to a fancy hotel that we were staying at. In our hotel room at The Inn at Penn we looking at the menu on the provided iPad and noticed that this restaurant was not suited for kids. There was just one kid friendly pasta... More

Attached to the Inn at Penn this is a convenient restaurant when staying at the hotel. It is a good restaurant, the menu does have vegetarian options, not terribly exciting but at least there was a choice. The wine was expensive but the glass I had was pleasant enough. The service was excellent. It is fine for a convenient meal,... More
