Convenient if you are staying at "The Inn"

We stayed at this Hilton property and were feeling lazy so we chose to eat right downstairs. It was fine but I was hoping for more. The place claims to be a wine bar but didn't have that many wines by the glass in my opinion to make that claim. Our waiter was nice and the food was fine but... read more

The average rating reflects the amount of choices they have to select from. My boyfriend and I are vegetarians. Italian is usually our go to in Philadelphia but we were staying in a different area than normal so we decided to try some where new. There were 3 choices for us, so we selected a special which was mushroom stuffed... More

My partner and I had arrived in Philadelphia after a long joinery from Australia and were looking for something to eat near our hotel. We spotted Penne and the bar area looked lively so we chose to eat there. sat up at the bar and had a pretty good meal. We went for the starter size pasta dishes and they... More

We had a very nice server, but pretty clueless. Mixed up the beer, forgot plates, he was just not effective at a table for 4. Nice pasta, nice house wine, in the hotel so handy especially late at night or in bad weather.

Very good meal. The is a great selection of appetizers. The octopus and flat bread were very tasty. The main dish was the fish of the day was trout. It was cooked very well and was very good. Desert was chocolate cake with espresso. Drinks were scotch and water. All very good. Chardonnay wine went excellent with the trout. Espresso... More

The dessert selection is small. Ice cream flavors are vanilla or chocolate. The nutella tort was good, but sooo rich! My husband tried the pumpkin tiramisu and said it was ok. We didn't feel like walking around too much and were staying at the Inn at Penn so we thought we would try it out. It was just ok.

Came here for a lunch meeting between myself and a client. We made reservation for 1:30 on OpenTable. I got there first and the hostess was on the phone. She didn't acknowledge me and I waited until she was finished with her phone call. Led me to the table where I originally had booked for three. The client wasn't sure... More

We had a great meal. The wait staff and kitchen went out of their way to make a meal accessible for no gluten, soy, or corn for a colleague! I enjoyed mussels, eggplant and homemade ricotta lasagna!

A group of us were staying at the Inn at Penn, which is in the same building, and decided to try Penne since we had such a great experience at the hotel. Ooops. I'm pressed to find anything positive to say. The food took forever to arrive at our table and was not prepared as ordered. By the time it... More

We had hoped to really enjoy our last dinner in Philadelphia, so we had dinner at Penne in the Hilton Inn at Penn. We were greeted by the manager, who was also the only server in the near empty restaurant at 6:45pm. We both had the Penne with Kale-walnut pesto for dinner which was supposed to have zucchini, summer squash... More
