Great Latin Food

This place is worth your time if you're in the mood for some Latin food. It has a great atmosphere and in a pretty good part of town. The Mojito's were really good and the Ropa Vieja was pretty stellar.

We had the "Mexican Breakfast" and it was excellent. I enjoyed an orange mango mamosa with my breakfast and I must say it was the best Brunch I have enjoyed in a very long time. Great food and great service!

Food was very good. Fair prices. What made this 3 stars was our server, who was HORRIBLE. Short stout woman, Latin descent. Slow, not friendly, slow. Oh, did I say SLOW?!?

Nice latin food. On the high end pricewise, but you get cool presentation, very good service, and a great hip environment. The guacamole was good and very elegantly served; and it came with plantain chips which was fun. The arroz con camarones was huge and good, and the coconut flan was superb.

To sum it up, awesome drinks, wonderful food, and very good service! For our early Saturday night dinner, we started with the Cheese Empanadas and the Shrimp Ajillo for appetizers. Both were good, but I definitely enjoyed the Empanadas the best. For our main entrees, my wife went with the Pollo Mareado and I went with the Churrasco Argentino. Both... More

Went with a group of friends, party of 14. We called ahead and were set up at a lengthy table on the 2nd floor. We got the appetizer sampler (3 servings), which had everything you could imagine, and was fantastic. Drinks were various and delicious. Wait staff had good knowledge of different drinks and gave people exactly what they wanted.... More

I couldn't ask for a more accommodating management/staff. My large group of 9 guys were out for a good time in celebration of my 50th, they drank, ate and enjoyed life. Everyone raved about their chose of food, which had a great presentation, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Thank you, from the Colombian.

All the food was well presented with top notch table service. We had a reservation and was immediately shown to a 2nd floor table. Restaurant was candle lit with great warm decoration and ambiance in the latin style. All food ordered was very authentic, prepared properly and large portions. Grilled octopus appetizer was spot on and this is not an... More

The Sunday brunch begins early (9:30) so that you can have a full day of activity afterwards, and the menu items are unusual, given Mixto's South American cuisine. The portions were hearty and well-seasoned. And they do mimosas with guava juice, which is a simply heavenly combination!

We visited with friends last night. Had to get them to change our table due to being too cramped at the window of the 1st floor. As most places, they should have less tables. The food was very good but the service was way too pushy. They literally took my appetizer away mid-fork so they could give me my entree!... More
