Description: Mixto is a two-story natural wood and exposed brick building located on the east side of downtown Philadelphia on the historic Antique Row. We have been opened for ten consecutive years. Our vision has been to bring an array of flavors of the Cuban, Latin American and Caribbean cuisine to the Center City area. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with bar service and an extensive wine selection. Mixto offers outdoor dining with a South Beach Miami ambiance during the spring, summer & fall when the weather permits.

We came here to celebrate good news. It was perfect. Great mojitos. Great entries. We had steak and pulled pork. Will return soon.

This is an interesting place because it (like its name) mixes the dishes from several Latin American countries - mostly from Peru (ceviche is on the menu but I didn't try it), Cuba and Colombia - instead of focusing on a particular country's cuisine. I started with the 2 empanadas. You have a choice of chicken, beef and crab and... More

I'm giving it 4 orbs because of its buzzy Latino-fusion ambiance, friendly staff and for trying hard. But, it needs to work on the menu to ensure there's more taste and less glop in the mains. Starters are generous to a fault and should be reduced to ensure people order mains. WHile it's known for its mixed drinks, it should... More

We took a friend to Mixto for Sunday brunch because this is one of our favorite restaurants. Although not on the brunch menu, one of my favorite appetizers are the chicken empanadas. I asked the waiter if it would be possible to order two chicken empanadas, and he was only too happy to accommodate my request - even offering beef,... More

Our party of 4 waited almost 45 minutes for an entree. The waiter did not write down orders, so when he initially took our order, he asked us to repeat it a few minutes later to confirm. Even at that, they could not get it right. Three of the entrees were delivered (not quickly either) but the fourth was missing.... More

We took our son here last night. We tried to time it to happy hour for a few minutes. We had 4 apps that were not only inexpensive, they were delicious. We also ordered two drinks at the same time. It took a while for the apps to come out. while we were still finishing them, the drinks and salads... More

I continue to return to this restaurant because the food is great, prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is lovely. The only thing I don't like, and its not the restaurant's fault, is that parking is so hard to come by. I love the place so much I'll deal with the parking issues tho :-)

Had brunch on a Saturday morning. Parking was difficult, as it's all street parking, or expensive garages. We got there at 10am, and it was not crowded. Menu seems to consists of breakfast items with various south/central american twists. Not knowing how authentic these breakfasts are, we tried a couple. In general, we were pleasantly surprised. We also tried the... More

Great menu with a wide variety of choices. Excellent South american inspired choices and a great drink menu. Service is a bit slow, so be alert if you want to keep the drinks coming.
