2 of us ordered 5 plates with a view to sharing. Unfortunately, and without warning on the menu, 2 came covered in cheese. I have an allergy so couldn't eat them. I mentioned this to the waitress, no apology for the omissions in the menu, no offer to change them or take them off the bill- nothing much more than... More

A group of us ladies decided to dine here for a batchelorette party. The ambiance was nice. Low flattering light setting. Very similar to a New York style of "sheek" atmosphere. They were very accommodating when we informed them that we needed another seat added to our table. We were a group of 7. The server was pleasant. The selection... More

Located near several performing arts venues, Lolita offers good food at a good price in a noisy, crowded space. The unusual nachos were delicious though not plentiful. Loved the chile-braised boneless shortribs. The crispy fish tacos were so good I didn't mind the thin little soft shells. Our server did not pick up on my comment that I am a... More

An excellent newer choice for Mexican cuisine in Philadelphia. We have frequently been disappointed by the Mexican food available in the city. Lolita is seductive serving savory and sensuous South of the Boarder originals. We have loved all our choices and over four visit and my wife being a vegetarian can be very careful with her meals. Just one alert... More

Good food and good service at a decent price. Bringing your own tequila makes for a good time. I've gone a few times and always enjoyed myself.

My husband and I ate at Lolita for the first time last night. The food was delicious. Everything was presented beautifully. The service was stellar. We ordered the Mango Guacamole, Korean Style Filet Tip tacos, Carnitas a la Naranja Tacos, Street Style corn, and plantains. We both cleared our plates. For dessert we had Coconut Tres Leches cake and the... More

We have returned to thus place several times and the food is always great and the atmosphere fun. The entire street has a good vibe and their sister restaurants are all great as well.

I have lived in Philly for almost a decade, so I have tried many restaurants throughout the city. This was the rudest service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. I am not easily offended by service, either. However, the attitude here was so condescending that I decided never to return. Well, also the food isn't remotely Mexican or particularly... More

Went here on a recommendation from a colleague while on a weekend trip with a friend. I've always enjoyed Philly's BYO culture and particularly liked that on the Lolita website they list close liquor stores (good for us out of towners to know) and their favorite tequilas to bring that they will mix into margaritas for you. That said, the... More

Being an expat Philadelphian, I remember what this neighborhood USED to look like, so the impetus was not the food but the experience. The food is very good and NOT the tired mush that so often passes for "Mexican". This is good, fresh, food and every dish our group sampled had a twist to it. Very interesting food. I chalked...
