Tight squeeze

Went for my daughter's birthday. The place was jumping, inside and out on a very warm late October evening. Our server was very good, but it was so loud, I was hoarse the next day. The food was very good, my daughter loved it, but I wished for slightly better acoustics and slightly more room... read more

Took my family to lunch here on a Saturday, during the holiday season. Because of the size of a party, we were forced to use a limited menu. The menu was OK, but not as good as other times I've eaten here. The service was a nightmare. We were the first table seated, almost every other table was seated within... More

I enjoyed Lolita. They had some great specials the night we were there and some were good and some were over spiced. The restaurant isn't huge, but you don't feel over crowded. I would make a reservation though.

In the last decade, Philly has added to its dining scene many good Mexican restaurants. Lolita is my favorite. The flavors are wonderful without being the typical fare you would expect from every other Mexican restaurant. Don't miss the octopus tostadas and the camotes. Too bad the Mexico City quesadilla is no longer on the menu. My only complain is... More

I stopped in here with my boyfriend for lunch during a trip to Philly, and we loved everything about this restaurant. A must-order is the yucatan chicken nachos. They were AMAZING - I could have eaten them all day. We also ordered the hanger steak tacos, which were super delicious. All in all, a great culinary spot - but also... More

Had the chopped salad here, it was excellent and very filling. The service here is just as good as the food. Also had the cucumber margarita, it was excellent and very refreshing. Can't wait to come back.

We went here on a December Saturday night. We had a 5pm reservation and were seated promptly. We were greeted by our server, Erin. We ordered a number of dishes to share (It is tapas/small plates): Guacamole and Chips - These were good and were served with very good and different chips (Corn, Plantain, and Malanga Chips). I'm not a... More

Great place, decent prices, good portions, excellent food. This place has helped to ground 13th street and Marcie and her partner have taken over 13th street and brought amazing food options. Foodies, young people, families come to this Mexican place, enjoy the tastes and get some house margaritas.

Love the pork carnitas tacos, and the mezcalita was amazing too. My sixteen year old son is not a huge fan of Mexican food, and even he loved the menu! Great atmosphere and super friendly service. I would come here again and again if I lived nearby.

This place is amazing if you want to avoid Gluten. So what should you know in advance?... - If you are Gluten free, absolutely everything on the menu is gluten free - This place has a great buzz and can get quite loud. - If you go on a Sunday or Monday you will probably get straight in. If you... More
