Make sure you make a reservation - this place is hard to get into on a Saturday night. We had great food and great service. Would definitely eat here again.

I really enjoyed the grilled octopus tostadas but the braised brisket chilaquiles, despite the recommendation of the server was just ok. It seemed more like and attempt to throw everything they could into the dish. Overall I would recommend.

We wandered in to Lolita for dinner on our way to a bar. The space was very modern and classic, unlike the much flashier Mexican grill on the same street corner. Many of the dishes are tapas style, so be prepared to order to share, or more than one per person. My friend got a dish with an egg cracked... More

Went in around 5:30 p.m. on a Friday and had no problem getting a seat. By the time we were done, the place was packed...understandably so. The food is pricey, but outstanding. As a vegetarian, I was excited to see a unique offering: seared cauliflower tacos. Delicious and well spiced. My wife said her pulled pork carnitas were the best... More

Although the restaurant was crowded and noisy the service was very good and the food was incredible. There was good choices for all diets and all of the food ordered at our table was light and flavorful. Mexican cuisine can be heavy and greasy but that was not the case here. Also the portion sizes were perfect. No one left... More

I dined here with family recently and we all loved it! Our waitress was great - taking time to explain the menu items, which were largely in Spanish and not all typical to menus I've seen - to my mom, who had MANY questions. We had the Mexican Corn, and Platanos Fritas, as well as three kinds of tacos -... More

To be honest...we planned on going to El Vez (almost directly across the street) - but the wait was too long. So we had to go to Plan B. So glad we did!!! This is a cozy, quaint restaurant, with authentic Mexican food. We started off with the Traditional Guacamole appetizer - the guac was delicious! Plus the chips are... More

Let me start out by saying I have celiac disease, so dining out since the diagnosis has been very minimal. When a friend suggested this place after she heard it was gluten free I was a bit skeptical. Turns out, everything except one dessert is gluten free. So not only was I able to order from the entire menu, but... More

I went here with my sister on a Monday night. The restaurant is warm and inviting. The decor is eclectic. Our server was very attentive but not annoyingly so. We split the octopus tostada and chilaquiles. The chilaquiles were a very generous portion. The meat was delectable. The octopus was also delicious, and all of the toppings were fresh and... More

My husband was born and raised in Southern California where authentic Mexican food is as prolific as sand on the beach. Since we moved to Philadelphia, he has been craving something more nuanced than the Tex Mex that pervades the area. When I took him to Lolita for his Birthday, he was not disappointed with the freshness and quality of... More
