Food is not lousy at all, but mediocre. Atmosphere however is wonderful. Lovely place to simply sit back , eat and enjoy everything this place has to offer. The singing is beautiful, the tables are arranged so you can interact with fellow diners easily. Upstairs, the lounge/bar area is so warm and inviting.

Four of us who are neophyte opera buffs had a lovely time last evening at Victor Cafe. We arrived slightly before opening time and our early reservation since we were already in the neighborhood. We were immediately greeted by a friendly staff willing to take care of us. After getting some wine,we were free to roam the restaurant looking at... More

I visited the restaurant on two different occasions. Once with my sister in September and once with a friend. The food was fabulous on both occasions. If you go to the Victor be prepared for excellent food and to be entertained by the talented, young operatic staff (who just happen to provide excellent table service as well), and will amaze... What a wonderful place to spend an evening. The food was delicious (I highly recommend the mussels and any pasta) and the singing made the evening a event. My husband has fond memories of meals at Victor Café in the late 1960's and has always wanted to go back. He was not disappointed-- in fact, he was delighted to rediscover... More

I find it difficult to describe our dinner @ the Victor Cafe. It was like being on the set of a movie from the 1920's. The atmosphere - red check table cloths, dim lights, autographed photos of world famous singers and conductors on the walls, good food and a staff of classically trained waiters and waitresses who, every 20 or... Fine Italian food, with excellent service (Robin was our server) deserves incredible music to complement the whole event. This is just what you experience at the Victor Café. Outside, parking maybe a bit challenging, but inside, a new world awaits. There were six at our table (including a 7 and 12 year old) and everyone enjoyed their dinner and opera... More

A well known restaurant with singing waiters. I ate there with a group and had a great time. The service was excellent and the food delicious. The building has an interesting history before it became a restaurant in the thirties. The walls are covered in photos of famous singers from the past. The serving staff were professional as well as... More

The food at Victors is basic Italian done very well. Our last visit there had to be more than 15 years ago. Since then we've turned into celebrity chef hunting food snobs. I'm so glad we went back to Victors. The food is wonderful and the entertainment is a huge bonus. Prices there are very reasonable and the service outstanding.... More

Had a lovely dinner with our children and grandchildren here the day after Thanksgiving. The service was outstanding, with our server accommodating the needs and questions of three generations. The food was delicious and the singing was beautiful. I envied the tables that were celebrating birthdays...we will most certainly return for a family member's birthday so we can be serenaded...
